Should I drop Yearbook?

Right now I am going through a hell in Yearbook. It has now become torture to come to it everyday. The problem in yearbook is not the workload (nothing basically) ,but the people in it. I hate almost everyone in it and they hate me. The few people I like are the two editors who run the class. I am considering dropping it because I can not deal with the people I am required to work with (I cant change it). Is this a wise choice? I have a 99 in the class so it is a very good GPA boost, but I do not think I can stand another year of this.

I’m in the exact same situation! The only thing keeping me from dropping Yearbook is the automatic “Withdrew Failing” mark I’d get on my transcript.

Well, if you drop now will it go as a Withdraw Pass on your transcript? Because if so, then definitely DON’T drop it. I really wouldn’t suggest dropping it, even if it didn’t go on your transcript. It’s a really great GPA booster, as you said. Forget about the people in your class cause they’re not affecting the way colleges look at you. It’ll be worth it in the end. So unless you can switch into some sort of weighted class without it going on your transcript, I wouldn’t suggest you dropping it!

Thanks for the advice! I was on the verge of insulting someone today. My problem is that I have a very low temper when it comes to taking crap from people who I know I am better/smarter than. (People take advantage of me because I am hardworking) In Yearbook it is have seven senior girls who do not do any work and think they are simply the most intelligent women on the face of this earth. The two editors are smart, reasonable people who obviously know what they are doing. My main motivation of not dropping out is that next year I would be one of the two running the Yearbook.
