I’m a senior in high school but graduating early by taking classes at my local community college, full time, to earn both my high school and college credits.
I will be officially done high school within the next few weeks, and will be allowed to get my diploma.
When I first decided to do this, my mom and dad wanted me to graduate with my class at the end of the year because it’s more special and I’m their first born.
But now my mom is telling me that she doesn’t care what I do, but would still rather me graduate with my class(my mom thinks they just mail you your diploma, but they don’t). I have never liked high school though(I was at two different high schools before going to college) and I know that after not being in school my senior year, then just showing up for graduation might be a little awkward and uncomfortable for me.
Should I just graduate early? Or with my class?

what’s the bonus for graduating early.
i mean ur still going to college at the same day. why not spend the rest of high school trying to have fun there?
you might say though, “I’ll have more fun outside of high school!”
well, I still say you try to have fun in high school. It’ll be a good social experiment before college

Graduate whichever way you want. If you’re not really sentimental, and you’re not close to a lot of people, then why wait to graduate? If I were in your shoes, I’d just graduate. But that’s just me.

maruhan, I don’t go to the high school at all. I’m at the college, full time. So I never see anyone in school.

Well, if you don’t have any friends there, and you don’t have any special reasons to graduate with your peers, then graduate early. I mean, your high school experience is what it is.
