Should I put "AP scholar award with distinction (expected)" on my UC application?

I got the AP Scholar Award with Honor and I listed that as an award on the application however I can’t say that I’ve received the next level (AP Scholar Award with Distinction) because the AP tests required for that will take place after I am accepted into a college, however I feel very confident I can get that award. Should I include it and write “expected”?

Do not put it until you actually have the award in hand.

Since you cannot predict the future, do not list it.

Honor requires 4 ap tests and an average of 3.25, Distinction requires 5 ap tests with an average of 3.5. My current average for 4 tests is 4, and I’m 100% positive I can fulfill the distinction requirement.

Actually, no. Distinction requires an average score of at least 3.5 on all AP Exams taken, and scores of 3 or higher on five or more of these exams.

Aside from the fact that you should not claim an award you have not yet earned, feel free to peruse the AP boards from early July to read about all the students who were confident they scored a 4 or 5 and earned a 2.

I’ve received 5’s on Chemistry and Calculus BC, I seriously doubt I’ll get a two on psychology and statistics next year…

“Aiming” to get a three is ridiculously easy for my level. I’m not trying to boast, but I’'m saying I’m basically guaranteed to get at least threes.

Adcoms will do the math between your award and the number of AP classes you’ve taken, chill.
