Last year, I took the SAT and got a 1240 (750 for Reading and Writing, 490 for Math). I’m very proud of my Reading and Writing score, but definitely not for my Math score. I was planning on retaking the test early this year, but obviously due to the state of the world at the moment I’m unable to. The school I really want to go to says on their website that the SAT 25th/75th percentile is Math 510/620; Writing 540/660. It’s a liberal arts school, so I’m assuming the Writing score holds more value than Math, and I’m looking to major in art history. Due to the pandemic most schools, including this one, are not requiring SAT scores. Should I submit my SAT score to show my good Writing score, or should I just omit it from my application? Would that put my application at a disadvantage?
When you have the choice iI would submit your score only if it is at or above the average for the college you are applying to.
