"[Shuck P'13] Enters Film Competition" (Pittsburgh, PA)

<p>A South Allegheny High School senior is one of 65 students in the tri-state area competing in a video competition sponsored by the group Creating Awareness and Understanding of Our Surrounding Environment.</p>

<p>Christopher Shuck will find out tonight at the Carnegie Science Center if his film is one of the top winners at the C.A.U.S.E. Challenge High School Film Festival.</p>

<p>The fifth annual festival will feature 37 short films based on the theme “Mutual Impact: The Environment and You.”</p>

<p>“The festival raises awareness about the impact we as humans are having on the environment and on our health,” Christopher said.</p>

<p>The Glassport teen’s five-minute film is titled “The Ravages of Pollution on a Developed Area” and was made using Adobe Premier.</p>

<p>“It’s about the amount of pollution various sources like Clairton Works and the power plants emit, and the impact it has on humans and the environment,” he said. … (continued)</p>

<p>Christopher will attend Princeton University in the fall to major in chemical engineering. </p>
