I’m currently participating in after school extra curriculars that are violin, writing, and assistant worker.

Assistant worker- meet once a month and contribute to school
violin- meet every wednesday
writing- meet every thursday

these all last till the end of the school year; which are 3-4 months.

Should I drop these extracurriculars and use my time to get a job
(volunteer) that I can participate in for more then 3 months?

I’m already volunteering @ somewhere else though.

So should I get a volunteer job because I don’t want to put something that only last 3 months in my transcript? But won’t it be better if I am a well-rounded student who take educational stuff, sports, and music outside of school?

As a fellow violinist…keep the music!
It all sounds fine to me. Keep the things you have now. You mentioned that you are volunteering, so why get more volunteering and drop something else that makes you well rounded?

Make a list.

List A
Things that I enjoy doing and am able to continue doing

List B
Things that I do not enjoy doing or cannot continue to do

Everything on List A, keep. Everything on List B, drop.

yes I actually don’t like writing that much, but it looks good in my transcipt. i like the others however they only last three month. and there is a limited amount of space for EC in the college transcript. So should I save the space for something I participated in for a long time instead of something I did for 3 months only
