lol@ “Another local intern is really really pretty. If you are not from Ivy, you need a lobang or be really good looking.” no offense and totally random.

wkwoods, I was not trying to put you down and don’t take things so personally. I was just pointing out that you seemed to have confused i-banking with trading, but from what you’ve seen I’m happy that you’ve done a lot of research on this. And I’m also happy to hear that they recruit from Insead. I myself may head there one day :)

You probably know that trading is not for everyone. If you’re not good at it, you’re gonna have to get out of it quickly because it leaves you with no transferable skills. How many % of those who started in trading actually see that kind of money?

Hi guys, I just got my A level result and apparently not that good. BBC/C and C for GP. Will I get rescinded because of my grade, my predicted is straight As. Quite worried right now! Thanks guys!

really depends on the school, man. i know schools like UC Berkeley and Cornell definitely ask for them, but many others (in my case Vassar) don’t ask at all. this might not be very helpful but it’s probably best to wait for them to ask (that would be a conditional offer)

@TAHUNGANH only if they give u a conditional offer… some colleges like UC require you to submit your final grades, but they might require you to inform them if your grades drop below a certain level (usually below C?). Basically, just look at the admission conditions.

sigh. rejected from the big schools =( emo

Anyone from Singapore going to Brown, UCLA, UC Berkeley, USC, Smith, Barnard?

Hmm i got into UCLA and berkeley too. are you going for the Cal prospective freshman info session @ newton gems?

Hi all, am new here. Would like to ask for your opinions on how you’d rank the following unis for econs? I hope to do investments in the future; I’m interning in a private equity fund now and I loveee it hahaha.

Cornell CAS
Penn CAS
Brown
Dartmouth
UC Berkeley
Duke
NYU Stern

Thanks.

what are some of the easiest majors to get in nus, ntu? i apply to engineerings and now i feel they are hard like hell …

@jupiter i think FASS would be easier, grades-wise…

Anyway I need some help deciding now on my uni! Any input will be appreciated =D

I intend to pursue Chemical engineering, and I got into Berkeley, Illinois Urbana-Champaign, Wisconsin-Madison and UCLA. Currently leaning towards UCB for prestige yet a small college of chemistry (800 students), but looking at ranking-wise they’re all very good. Money is not an issue. Any students in these colleges around?

^
Hi Trivolve, unfortunately I got rejected from Berkeley, but got in for UCLA. I’m most likely going to UCLA as a pre-business econs student.^^

enjoy Hollywood and Beverly hills then! =D

Hello fellow Singaporeans! Is anyone of you in any of U.S’s med schools? Do u have any idea where i can take the pre med requisite courses assuming i’m a business grad(currently studying in singapore) planning to go into the U.S MD course?? would appreciate if anyone can give me any advice! thanks!

is anyone going to community college?

UCB is not a small school, its pretty big actually.

Any singaporeans here who have applied for HK universities? :)

Medicine is only offered in graduate schools. Normally students go through the pre-med route and take the MCAT.
