<p>Is it possible to have overlapping times? Would SIS allow you to enroll? Two of my courses have these optional discussion times that overlap by 15 minutes, and I’m wondering if SIS would let you enroll in both. For now, I’m only in one of the course.</p>

<p>Well a lot are sort of de facto optional. Like, study sessions that you don’t necessarily have to attend, and that people leave early or arrive late on…</p>
<p>And a lot are not optional, and are major parts of your grade. I’ve never had an optional “discussion section.” Review sessions are listed as optional, and as review sessions, not as “discussion sections.” Other classes have mandatory test-taking blocks at night, so you can’t over schedule those either.</p>
<p>You will have to apply for a Time Turner, but those have been outlawed by the Ministry of Magic</p>
