<p>Attrition happens in a lot of schools. I got my BFA in 92 at the University of Victoria. My class started out with 95 first years total in the department, with 60 enrolled in acting classes. Only 20 or so successfully auditioned into second year. Many changed their focus into design, education, directing, etc. only 35 graduated with a BFA when we were done, although the theatre historians got a BA and had a separate ceremony.</p>
