<p>Ascharlau: That’s technically correct-- students can only audition into one of the two BFA programs (Theater Performance or Screen Acting) their sophomore year, but all theater majors start out on the BA track and are given the option to continue with this throughout all four years of their degree. It’s also worth pointing out that as a BA Theater student, you can declare an emphasis in Performance or Technical Theater-- so one still has options even if they don’t go for the BFA.</p>
<p>(Another point: Freshmen aren’t allowed to audition for the fall season-- which majorly bums me out, as the fall musical at Chapman will be Company, which is one of my favorites EVER-- but are more than welcome to crew shows, and are able to start auditioning in the spring. Just an FYI!)</p>
