I hope I live off-campus, which I will if I stay in Florida.

I sleep with two fans (my ceiling, and a mini next to my bed), and the TV on.

I get so hott in my room… it’s the hottest in the house. We even have aluminum foil on my windows to block the sun. My room is like 5 degrees warmer than the whole house (and my mom keeps it on 79!!!

When I lived on-campus at my college, I had to sleep with a fan on to drown out the noise in the hall.

At home, I have to sleep with the television on low, but before I actually go to bed, it has to be set to a television show that I like. I can’t fall asleep to Judge Judy.

i absolutely NEED a fan on in order to sleep. it also needs to be on the highest level. idc if its summer or winter, i need it to be on or else i get hot, sweaty, uncomfortable, and cant sleep.

I like for my room to be as cold as possible, so yes. Fan’s always on and I keep my windows open too. Absolutely couldn’t have it any other way.

I have to sleep with a fan, it’s like the number one thing I must have. My mental list of worries about having a roommate in college starts out with “what if they CAN’T sleep with a fan on?! I won’t sleep till Thanksgiving!”

Has anyone brought a fan on vacation because they didn’t know if wherever they were going would have one? My “low” was my mom opening up my athletic bag in London and seeing a fan wedged in there. :P

When I was young, I used to love having the fan or something on so I wouldn’t hear the silence. Maybe I was just afraid of a home invasion or something, since my family watched a lot of crime shows haha

Now, I don’t care, I put the fan on when it’s hot (now) and turn it off when it’s cold. I have a ceiling fan anyways, so it doesn’t really make that loud of a sound.

OMG So many people here share this oddity with me! I sleep with my fan about 2 feet from my head every single day of the year, even when it’s ten below zero. I would rather put on a thousand extra blankets than sleep without my fan. So worried my roommate in college is going to kill me.

It DOES sound fun to fall asleep to the sound of electricity being wasted…

Seriously, to cope with the heat I understand, but to have a fan on just to hear the noise? xD Why don’t you listen to the cars outside, or put your MP3 player on a timer or something?
