Sleepwear

I want to get my girls some sleepwear as I think what they have is pretty ratty and they both are spending the holidays with their sig others families, so I want them to be presentable.

I was thinking pj bottoms with a sleep shirt- and one needs petite sizing.
What do your girls sleep in?

I think the last time I bought them something besides the flannel bottoms at costco( which dont fit well), they were hannas!
[I suspect if I bought this they would never let me see any grandchildren](http://www.hannaandersson.com/style.asp?from=SC|6|7|32|264|6||&simg=30270_86Q</a>)!
:(

I only have boys but spend the holidays around a lot of younger women. They wear sleep pants with tanks or some suitable top. Is that not fancy enough?

Well both are fairly busty so I think a tank top would be a little , but I could get pjs that come with a button up top & they could also wear that by itself when they were at home.

I’ve gotten my 2 sleepwear every Christmas since they were babies. It was the gift from Mrs Claus that showed up under the tree while we were at the ILs on Christmas Eve.

Plenty of Hanna’s bought back in the babe years. These days they wear sleep shorts, leggings, flannels, tanks or tees. I cannot spend $50+ at VS, Jcrew, etc. so I shop the sales.

Target has some halfway decent sleep pants on sale. Lightweight t-shirt knit. Coupled with a tee, they’d be good if seen by SO family. There are some heavier-weight, thermal looking leggings at Nordy’s BP.

I have two daughters and agree sleepwear seems to get ratty fast. I always try to make sure they have new when going away. We have the busty problem, too. My latest solution is the lounge wear with the zip-up jacket and pants that looks like a warm-up suit. Best bargains probably found at a Kohl’s with a coupon. I have also had fun with button up flannels with the great prints by Nick and Nora at Target. Some Target site customer reviews on this brand claim it has sizing problems and the quality has gone down. I haven’t had any problems but heads up! Sometimes I wish they would just wear a robe, but despite many attempts they never will.

What about flannel bottoms with a cute sweatshirt (deemphasizes the bustiness) over the comfortable tank top/t-shirt she plans to sleep in.

Old Navy has some cute fleece sleeping pants…you could always pair with a t-shirt or even a fleece hoodie for a bit more modesty at their SO’s homes.

Moreover, mine don’t like robes either, although I admit it can be hard to find one that doesn’t have sleeves that aren’t too long and why are mens belts sewn on but women’s aren’t?

Gap or Gap Outlet also has some comfy stuff for young and older alike!!!

I like having pockets in nightgown or pj bottoms … but that is hard to find in womens sizes.

Today is the last day where you get free slippers from Victoria’s Secret when you order their flannel jammies.

I learned from my d that many girls in dorms wear sports bras under their jammies - even the not so busty ones. Or they wear camis with built in bras.

I love my flannel jammies, Nick n’ Noras were/are my favs… but i also like the flannel bottom with a comfy top. I buy mine one size larger than I normally wear so they don’t bind at all. There are some really cute jammies in catalogs like Garnet Hill. Flannel sets are everywhere the past couple years. We have a family tradition of new pajamas for Christmas, also. All the boys had Hannas when they were little. I can’t imagine sleeping in a bra, but I’m a busty gal.

I second the sports bra under a T or sleepshirt with pj bottoms. I buy hanes tank sports bras from Walmart (3 for about$10) that are unstructured and very comfy. All they do is provide support and lift, but still feel like you’re braless. You can find fun pj bottoms just about anywhere. I prefer stretchy one to flannel. On a cold night you can wear pj bottoms, a T, and throw on a hoodie.

I am a busty gal and I can’t imagine not sleeping in a bra :)

I’ve always bought new jammies for my kids for Christmas. It’s the one present they get to open on Christmas eve. Everyone is wearing their new duds in the morning!

GAP has decent bottoms and tops, and hoodies, etc. I’m always buying pj separates. If it’s not sheets, bath towels or dish towels, it’s pajamas! Not sure why…maybe I’m a nester!

I also just found these silly socks at walmart for 2.99. They have gummy sticky dots on the bottom like the hospital socks, so they’re like a slipper sock. Fun and cheap.

I was going to suggest a cami w a shelf built in. You can also get them at Costco in two packs. I’ve got a tiny top but got used to wearing them during pregnancies (3 in 4 years) and 18 years after the last child now feel bare without one. I always layer with a thermal or long sleeved T. I like the idea of a cute sweat suit or flannel pjs. I’ve had good luck at Target & Gapbody.

Just went to the Target site and they have pajamas marked 40% off! Some sets at $15, $25 and $30 with a $15 gift card if you spend $75. I going back to see what I might order!

My D and her friends would never wear flannel jammies. They wear sleep pants with either a cami top or a long sleeved thermal kind of like a henley top.
