Slippers - Yes or No???

All the slipper discussion in the LLBean thread has me wondering…am I the only one who doesn’t own a pair of slippers? I

I have none and can’t remember the last time I did.

I don’t go barefoot in the house - I’m probably odd that inside I like to wear shoes - so in the winter, lightweight no show socks and a pair of casual athletic shoes. In the warmer weather, TOMS or Teva sandals.

Slippers? YES or NO???

(for the record I don’t own a robe either! - for that matter, very little actual sleepwear!!! - thought I DO wear clothes to sleep. )

Robe - yes. Slippers - yes. I like Vionic open toe ones. They have rubber soles and very cushioned.

Slippers- yes. I have the ones that look like UGGs that I wear around the house.

We don’t wear shoes in our house. They are left in the mud room or foyer by family members and we all wear slippers that are not worn outdoors.

I really believe that is one of the main reasons why my wood floors didn’t need refinishing for over 20 years…and my carpets look good too.

No grit from the outside.

@abasket if your Toms and Tevas are dedicated to indoor use…those are like having slippers. Personally…I find my nice slippers more comfortable.

I live in my LL Bean Wicked Good slippers inside the house. Have 'em on right now. Park them at the door when I go out, and greet them happily by name when I get home and can slip them on again. :x

Nope, dual indoors and out. I have all wood floors and area rugs - as long as I make sure they are clean of debris at the door I don’t have rules about shoes in the house. And our floors are in excellent shape! If I’m wearing shoes in the garden or it’s muddy or wet out I take them off at the back door - and then put a dry pair of shoes/socks on!

Slippers: Yes.

Robe: No.

Slippers- Mahabis indoor/outdoor slippers with changeable rubber soles. (You’ve probably seen the facebook ads). Great quality boiled wool. In summer, Hoka sandals. No robe.

Slippers yes, PJs yes, Robe no.
I wear a pair of Acorn bootie slippers in the winter and Dearfoam in the summer.

Robe - yes (sometimes it’s a courtesy if I’m in my jammies around people not my husband or daughter)

Slippers - 24/7 - vionics. I have hardwoods and my feet were killing me, even in uggs. Vionics have saved my feet.

Yes. No shoes allowed in the house. Socks or slippers only.

No shoes in the house, so wear slippers in the colder months. Go barefoot in the house during the months I’d wear sandals/flipflops.

I wear a robe from when I get up until I get dressed for the day, especially in fall/winter.

Slippers: Yes, when it’s winter as I can’t stand having cold feet. I don’t like walking around barefoot in my house so when it’s not cold, I wear flip flops.

slippers: no
Love being barefoot. If it’s cold I wear socks. Have two pair of thick cotton pair specifically for that reason although, in CA, it doesn’t happen all that often.

robe: no

I own slippers, but for several years now I haven’t worn them because they seemed to irritate my feet. They are the sheepskin slippers from either Lands End or LL Bean, can’t remember which. So I mostly wear socks to walk around the house.

I haven’t worn a robe in a very long time. Instead, I don a light weight fleece jacket to keep me warm when I’m in my PJs.

We don’t wear shoes in the house either. In the summer, I often switch to my Oofos flip flops. I keep a pair for indoor wear and a pair outside the front door for running to the garage to take out the recycling etc.

These are my favorite slippers:

So to my non-robe people - do you dress immediately upon waking up or do you wander around in pajamas? Do you wear a bra? After you get out of the shower, what do you wear as you’re putting on makeup and doing your hair?

As an aside - I call my robe a “morning” because when my son was a little bitty that’s what he called it.

I have an UGGS bathrobe and I love it. I don’t wear it around the house…but I do wear it when I get out of the shower…very comfy.

I’m pretty low maintenance. During the week, it’s shower, dress, walk the pup and then out the door for work. On the weekends I do get up and shower and dress right out of bed. I’m not a “pj” lounger. But I’m almost always out the door for the pup walk or my own exercise within a half hour or so of waking up.

If I could find a pair of leather soled slippers I would be all in. All of those other ‘slippers’ are just shoes.
