An old thread existed on this topic, but I thought I’ll just start a new one for this years’ applicants.
Any one received a call for the telephonic interview yet? Anybody has any sort of ideas as to what they ask, how long does it last etc etc</p>
<p>it’d last about 1 hour. & u get an interview with about 7 other applicants. There’s really no way to prepare. They give ya an article and 2 prof will ask for your comments. Be sure to speak up then.</p>
<p>7 other applicants?? on the phone?? I am an international applicant and will not be having a personal interview but one over the phone…</p>

<p>This is Anirban from Bangalore… I just had my interview today, for the BBM course. It lasted for only about 15 minutes. They said they would get back to me in a while. Anirudh, have you got your call yet? </p>

<p>Mind telling me your stats? I submitted the application half a year ago but havent heard from them since then. My first choice is BSc Economics, however. A girl with stats similar to mine got a call and interview. I wonder what took them for so long.
Anirban, as far as I concern, ppl who got interview is 100% accepted after a few days. Cheers!</p>

<p>Jaah… I applied for the BBM course. My stats are as follows:</p>
<p>SAT 1 - 2110 (720 critical; 680 math; 710 writing)</p>
<p>10th board exams - 93% average (4 A1’s ; 1 A2)</p>
<p>School topper in Social Studies with a score of 99 on 100</p>
<p>President of school quiz club for 4 years</p>
<p>President of history association for 1 year.</p>
<p>Won many prizes at the national level for quizzes and trivia contests. </p>
<p>Been featured on TV on many occasions.</p>
<p>School magazine editor, lead guitarist of school rock band etc etc… </p>
<p>Anyways, dont worry… I applied in November 2005, and they got back to me only by 4th May 2006… lol… so even I had to wait… </p>
<p>Tell me your stats… Cause a pal of mine in India already got his call from the SESS. Don worry, I’m sure they will call you in a day or two. </p>

<p>yeh… I already got my admission call… waiting for their scholarship decision… had my interview on the April 21st and got the admission letter in a week… my interview lasted about 35-40 minutes…</p>

<p>as for other threads rearding SMU … i couldn’t find any… if u do let me know… and dont worry with those stats u’ll probably get in though don’t know about the scholarship… </p>

<p>so ur stats are pretty good for SMU… but a lot depends on the interview if u are looking for the scholarship…

<p>ISC boards… am a dropper… and my interview was really crappy… the were asking a whole lot of wierd stuff… like predict the no. of mobile phones that will be sold in kolkata in the year 2010?</p>
<p>but I guess the interview is just about showing confidence to them… and an interview = selection unless u really screw up</p>
