Snow...again!

Covered my plants here in Texas but it looks like it won’t freeze after all.
Lesson learned, all my huge patio pots fit under costco size garbage bags.

D says it’s snowing in Chicago and has been since late afternoon and the weatherguy here in NE Ohio is crowing about 2-3" tonight and more of the same Tuesday morning and early afternoon but less as it moves toward PA and NY.I can see Lake Erie from my yard which means that we’ll get more snow this time around.
While I love winter, this is getting a little old, but I remember getting snow in Rochester on May 9th back in 1989 so I’ll just stay quiet about it all!

It’s 65 at my house right now but tonight it is supposed to go down to 25! Oy. And we’ve been in the 70’s for the last few days!

Three inches on the deck this morning in NW Ohio. Luckily, the drives and walks held the heat of the past couple 70 degree days so they were mostly only wet. It will melt by tomorrow, but REALLY!!!

I would be absolutely amazed if there was snow in Texas in the middle of April.

At least the snow moved out in time to see the eclipse.

I’m home! Drove through PA…instead of the NY thruway. It was 32 degrees and snowing for the first 1 1/2 hours of my drive. Once I got into PA, it just poured rain…all day. Bleh!

It’s 58 here at my house, and raining.

I’ll have to remember this past winter when I face the Florida heat and humidity this summer- the tradeoff made when we moved from Wisconsin a couple of years ago. 50+ winters were more than enough for the memory bank. Do remember one May snow- on blossoms. Hang in there- summer will eventually come.

We broke the all-time single-season snow record here in the Detroit area. Frankly, I am glad we had the extra few inches so we could break the record … it seemed sad to come so close & miss it. The record is broken, and it is now time for spring!

We broke the record for snowfall here the year we moved into our house. We had a winter with over 100 inches of snow. The forecasters said this was a once in a lifetime amount of snow. Guess what? The next winter, we also has 100 inches of snow…just saying!

That sounded like a lousy drive. I had to drive through snow yesterday, and while it did not stick, it did reduce visibility. Heavy scraping needed on the windshield this morning, and snow while the sun shone this afternoon. Yikes. Then I heard we are to have a long, hot summer. No!

The snow was melted on walkways and roads, but my car was covered in ~3 inches or so and CAKED in ice. I had to chip away ice to unlock my door! Was NOT expecting that this morning.

Ugh ugh ugh- OVER THIS!

Snowing at my house now. :frowning: At least this wasnt last night when we were driving home from CT. And just this morning I was so excited to see my lilies coming up.

“I would be absolutely amazed if there was snow in Texas in the middle of April.”

Me too, but the warning was for frost because of clear skies and cold temps. Fortunately we missed the frost nip and summer flowers are safe.

It WAS a lousy drive. What is usually an 8 1/2 hour trip took 10 hours. And I barely stopped. I’m so happy to be out of my car!

Looks like at least 2 inches on the ground. Nothing on the driveway/roads. Should be warm enough and it’s very sunny so should be gone by end of day.

Not here. Driveway was covered with snow…and under the snow was ice. Lovely. Sun is out now but it’s all of 27. Did I say I was DONE with winter??

The real question is, Is the winter done with us?

Thumper, if it makes you feel better - my H did have to scrap ice of his car!

I scraped ice off of the windshields of one car and now the sun melted the ice off the other car for me.
