Oh trust me, the federal government closes in DC at the sign of a first snowflake. Don’t use that as any kind of litmus test.

DS and friends are supposed to fly out of DC midday Friday on a nonstop flight. Think it’ll be cleared up by then? cap, is the snow ending at 2 a.m. or 2 p.m.?
Any car stories? Teenager misjudges a rock hard snow pile and cracks the bumper on her car. Same teenager slids off the road and barely misses a telephone pole. Or we can trade stories about visiting campuses. Last week we toured UMaryland in nearly 0 degree weather and our tour guide must have been immune because she continued to do her speeches OUTSIDE of the buildings. I’ve been looking at gardening blogs to keep my chin up;)
I think the snow is ending in the afternoon on Thursday.
Yeah, but then there’s Friday . . . and Saturday . . . and so forth . . . 
Please VH…at this point I don’t think more snow is in the immediate forecast…at least I hope not!

Starting round 2 am and going through the afternoon and possibly early evening. Baltimore is 5-10 inches range and DC in the 4-7. Who knows what will really happen. My area never gets what they say, usually less.
Car stories ? Thankfully, none…I am grateful every time my teen daughter makes it to her destination without incident …and also glad for the exposure she is getting to driving in snow and ice

The Weather Channel says 3-5 at BWI. I hope that is right!!
Now BWI is up to 5-8 inches of snow. Argh!
I was about to say “no one local is saying anything like 3-5 for the BWI area.” I’d love that to be the total though.
OMG, my friend is supposed to fly to BWI to run a marathon somewhere in MD this weekend!
So far, my flights are still listed as happening…but the snow Isnt really happening big time yet…right?
I am going to keep checking!

nothing but rain here yet , but weatherman still saying snow within the next couple of hours…and another snow day for schools
My S did the car thing into frozen pile of snow at end of our driveway one week after car got a new bumper after he rear ended a car. While the car was in the shop getting the first bumper replaced he was rear ended while driving my car. All those happened the first year he had his license. Hasn’t had any accidents since.
I have now probably jinxed him.
