Snow storm? Really?

To those of you in the path of this storm, from someone who lives in a place where winter is 5 or 6 months of the year–Stay safe, stay warm and STAY iNSIDE, until all is ok.

Client does not sleep more than an hour at a time. Ever. Pees 18 times during an 8 hour shift.

Working on my patience and endurance. This is s great opportunity for it!

Why isn’t she wearing an adult diaper? That seems necessary. Also sounds like she needs medication for that, 18 times is extreme.

Garland D landed and retrieved!

Lots of rain in south Florida today. Deluged several times. Its stopped where I am right now (south of PB) but it could still be raining there.

Going to be very cold by Florida standards this weekend. Low 60’s and very windy tomorrow.

Back home in Albany they are supposed to completely miss Jonas. No snow at all there. Not even flurries in the forecast.

And thanks to all good wishes and especially to @busdriver11 !

Answer to someone on about when we stop worrying–D is 33, so, yeah, when we are dead is definitely the answer.

@KKmama - Benadryl used to work pretty well with my kids when they were little, great for long flights. Good luck.

Garland, lol, your post makes me feel better about worrying about my 25 year old. She is no longer in MD, so at least that’s good (the protests and the storm of the Capitol is not good though).

Stay safe, everyone! Do not venture out into the elements unless someone’s life needs to be saved.

KKMama, big hugs.

I worry about my “kids” who are 26 and 28. I also worry (to a much lesser extent) about my sibs, who are MUCH older than my kids. Hey, we get to worry about our folks too!

S2 says we still have power. Who knows what tomorrow will bring.

Started with freezing rain and sleet last night, now it’s completely turned to snow in upstate SC.

^Is it still going on? Our forecast changed a few times from 8-12" to 5-8" back to 8-12". Now they are talking 20". It’s fluffy and no wind yet.

@Iglooo It is still snowing hard here.

I’m not even looking at the forecasts anymore. I figure I’ll know by tomorrow night how much snow we get!

But I bought fixings for chicken soup!

So how bad is it in DC which was supposed to get the worst of it? CNN video doesn’t indicate it is all that bad at this point. Currently flurries with some earlier accumulation.

My MD relatives could not get to work today…and tonight they are all, snowed in…and it’s still snowing heavily…or so,they say!

Ok…so I just looked again…and we have now been upgraded again to 5-8 inches!

We have about 6" in suburban DC, but the worst is supposed to happen overnight. The Caps canceled their game tonight, which I was happy about because I had no desire to wander about in a blizzard. Power is on, devices are charged, food delivered to the shelter this am. Chicken soup is made.

Checking in to see how everyone’s doing.

I’m so, so sorry, KKmama. Best wishes and I am sending good thoughts that it’s not as bad as you hope

As someone who lives solidly in used-to-snow territory, I beg everyone to just stay put. I flipped my car in a storm a few years back (I was OK but my car was totaled) and truly, there is nothing worth risking your life for in these types of things.

Unfortunately, it looks like there have already been a few deaths :(.

We were planning on a weekend of just the three of us when, surprise ! Three of daughter’s friends who literally have not been back at their colleges for more than 4 days drove 2.5 hours to get come to our house…they are in the hot tub and made snow angels
