So as I explore a little bit, it seems a LITTLE like Amazon + Costco + Ebates. Shop on jet.com and get items discounted. Shop elsewhere (with their current 700 online stores available) by connecting to their website through jet and earn “jet bucks” - to use to purchase stuff on Jet.
So for instance, it shows Athleta as a partner at 2.75%. If I go to Jet, search Athleta, click through to Athleta from Jet and purchase $100 from Athleta…I will earn $2.75 to spend on Jet (you also have to foward your order confirmation and eventually your receipt to Jet. So by shopping other places THROUGH Jet, you can earn Jet $$$. Or you can just order things discounted on Jet. Free shipping over $35 and free returns is what I see.
Anybody can have bugs in their system. I exchanged shoes on Zappos, a company known for good customer service. When you do an exchange, the shoes are to be sent next-day business, but when I checked, the shoes were coming by UPS Ground and not scheduled to arrive until next Tuesday. When I called Zappos, they said it was apparently a glitch in their system that they were forwarding to IT to resolve. Even the customer service rep had to manually change the delivery option since she couldn’t even get next-day business to work for her either.
Zappos made good on the problem, which I expected they would. Hopefully this isn’t a signal of things to come with jet.
