i’m making my senior year schedule, and i’ve taken all but like 5 or 6 APs my high school offers. i’ve totally maxed out english and math. here’s where the boofness starts: there are like three blocks where all i have to choose from are APs i’ve already taken, woodworking, and advanced ■■■■■■. then, those 5 or 6 APs, which i was hoping to take all of, are all offered in the same two blocks, and not any other time. dats dumb.

What’s boof?

…My school only offers 8 AP courses.

This year, AP Compsci and Automation/Robotics (fourth year sequence course in tech) were offered in the same period.

Genius, just genius.

What exaclty is boof? I know it’s a word with a abad connotation, but waht exactly does it entail?

If it bothers you so much, send a letter to the school you apply to that sceduling conflicts prevented you form taking APs.

just means dumb. stuff that doesn’t really seem to have any rational thought behind it.

so i just found out something about my high school that’s so booftastic it borders on scary: i’m ranked 24/459 in my class, which puts me in the 5.23% of my class. here’s where the boofness comes in: just today i was looking at my friend’s (who is a senior. i’m a junior) transcript. i saw that there are only 383 people in his class. i made a comment that their class is really small. then, the bombshell. he said that when they were sophomores, they had over 500 people in their class! so, essentially, if as many people drop out in my class as did in theirs, i could not lose a spot in class ranking and end up possibly being outside the top 10%! i’m really bugging out now… :(

^

Over 40 people have dropped out since the beginning of the year, always in the lower end, so although I have gone up in rank, my percentage has stayed the same.

Lovely! I know how you feel.

My school only offers 4 APs.

Yeah.

My school offers 1 AP junior and a choice of 1 amongst 3 senior year.

It’s not fair at all, since I have to do it on my own.

my school is uber boof-you’re not allowed to self-study APs. they actually refuse to coordinate it

my first complaint seems really petty and trivial compared to my second one. i’m actually pretty scared about that.

haha thats the same at my school.
