So my district has this class that is different.

I am currently a freshman and I was informed that “K” level classes are only in some districts and colleges will have to be told about it. They are like lower than your AP classes but higher than the on-level or lower level classes. Pretty much 40% of the school takes it (10% AP, 50% lower level) and I don’t know if I want to move up because I am getting lower grades than what i’d like.

My classes are all “K” level and electives and I had like 4 "A"s and 3 “B” (All higher than 87 percentile) and I don’t know if I could take much more work than what was given to me in the first place. I wish that my school would have told us this in like middle school because now I feel a lot more unprepared for college.

Do I move up next year and risk lower grades or just play it safer and stay in the “K” level classes?

Do you know any districts or even HEARD of the “K” level or middle leveled classes? I am just really nervous on what I need to do to get into a good college.
