Hi,

I plan for my junior year to take:
AP Gov
AP Chem
AP French
Honors Eng. 11
Accel. Pre-Calc
Wind Ensemble
PE
Drivers Ed
Psych (consortium)

and senior year:
AP Calc
AP Fizziks
AP Euro
AP English
Some tech / art
Wind Ensemble

MY QUESTION is: Will my senior APs simply not matter since I will have submitted my applications relatively early? I don’t wanna take 7 for waste. I will take them all, but I want them all to count for something. Will they?

They will make your application look alot stronger, help your transition into college, and it will help if your grades are high when you submit your apps.

so, i’d have 1st quarter grades by the time I submit?

I agree with romanigypsyeyes. when you submit your college app (whether it is early decision/regular decision), they will see the classes that your are enrolled in (and it would look really bad if you didn’t take any aps since your 11th grade) and definitely for me (i sent mine in december) my grades were on the transcript. Plus, the counselor will give you the boost by saying that you’re “taking the most rigorous classes offered” in your school. and even at the end of the year, you would take the exams to see if you can get any more college credit.

i don’t know how your school does the transcript thing, but for my school, although we get those four quarter report cards, only the two semester grades go on transcript. so if you send pretty early, you’ll only have the enrollment covered, but you still need to send your final transcript to your college. so i would say continue to take ap, unless you have more EC or job that would prevent you from doing well (like you have no time for ap homework or study).

thanks for the advice :)
