<p>In our family, all the while S was growing up, he learned that we feel self-supporting adults make their own rules(in their own household). We believed then and now, that influenced him to desire having his own place- day 1, after college.
It seemed to us, a much nicer way to say- “not under my roof!”, plus we didn’t begin saying it at 17, 18, or 26.</p>
