I’m in Australia - we’re still here (so far). I just hope the world ends AFTER 5 p.m.here in Perth, which is when my son is scheduled to land after traveling since 8 a.m. Wednesday morning Virginia time!

Listening to REM! Seriously–I have a million chores to do. The End of the World (As We Know it) will have to wait.

Seen on FB: “People are making jokes about the apocalyspe like there’s no tomorrow.”

Going to get my nails done with my mom and then spending the day making cookies with her.

Lmao, zoose!

We’re going to our dance studio’s Christmas party. Will celebrate the end of the world by dancing–if we make it that late.

I think I shall spend much of the day convincing my daughter that we will live to see another day . And perhaps begin some of my baking and prepping. If I get enough done , might go to see a movie with my daughter who is home for the holiday

My junior year English teacher is getting married tomorrow. I think it’s adorable
and wish I could go! Sadly, she didn’t invite the 60-80 kids she taught last year

Well…if it gets to close to midnight and I’m still here I guess I’ll be printing out the return mailing labels for all the stuff I’ll buy during the previous 23 hours - I may even surpass my credit limit :D…

Nah, I’ll be wrapping the stuff Santa hasn’t gotten too.

Just had fascinating dinner conversation w D1 and concluded that since we live in NJ we are screwed. The state is too densely populated to stay away from zombies and despite the entire family having good survival skills (thank you scouting). We discussed making a break for it now to the hills of West Virginia…

she did point me to these criteria - lower population density, large # of WalMarts & significant coastline:

I am planning to attend a dinner party with an older college friend and his grad school classmates first and then proceed to my HS’ alum holiday bar night to meet up with some HS buddies over some beers.

In the midst of all that, I’m looking forward to being inundated with slabs of delectable Mayan chocolate falling from the sky.
:D

I’m too happy for the world to end now–S just arrived home to join us with D! Sorry, but it has to wait–too much left to do!

Going to a Christmas concert, so I’m hoping it will wait till that is done. : D

How much time is left? I’ve got a lot of stuff to do.

I think it’s during the solstice. 11:12 UTC. Anyone wanna translate that? I’m a bit too buzzed to do math (Hey, it’s the end, right?)

A friend was in Guatemala last summer and one of the big museums had an exhibit about it… I’d post her picture but her tot is in it…the grand count ends tomorrow, but the grand long count ends 4765 AD.

I am Pagan and the other members of my family are atheists, so we do our gift exchange and feast on 12/21. We will have a bonfire in the blizzard and eat traditional foods. The world better not end because I want my presents!

In the morning, I am scheduled for a Shiatsu massage that I have been looking forward to for weeks. I think I will keep my afternoon open, but I am probably going to have to spend it looking for my Christmas stocking. They usually are kept together but this year? ( or maybe I wont need it?)

For many men, getting married is the End of Their World. ;)

The walking dead? Would those be the CC students who posted various “Oh, no, I got deferred, what do I do?” threads?
