So what's everyone doing for the apocalypse?

We’re having company. Well, the roads won’t be icy, at least . . .

Well, I have two choices tonight. I can either study for my final that is tomorrow OR I can expect zombies to eat me and therefore will not study. Lol my plans for tomorrow are to take finals in English and Spanish and then go to a party wootwoot! The invitation said it’s a birthday party, yet the coincidence with being on Doomsday seems peculiar… It leads me to believe that the host just wants gifts for her last day living on this planet ;)

I’ll be ticked off if it happens, because I will have spent my final days shopping. I hate shopping.

We are having our annual Christmas party that we’ve secretly nicknamed “It’s Not the End of the World” party. Just in case, I put extra vodka in my homemade cranberry liqueur.

Okay… staying up to keep D2 company while she finishes a flurry of creative writing assignments due tomorrow. Just passed midnight, and there is no sign of an apocalypse. D just dropped a couple of darned good short stories into my email box, though. Truly writing under pressure… she claims she did not procrastinate in hopes that the Mayans were right, but one can’t really be sure. It will be an apolalypse of another kind when the alarm goes off tomorrow morning.

We in the PNW have been very confused about the actual time and date. This said, I have 60 people coming for a party on Saturday night and figure I will not have to pay the caterer if all has ended.

Funny thread!

Over on Reddit someone posted a pic of the Sydney Opera House, photoshopped with Godzilla and fireballs falling on it.

still here :)

Lmmfaooooooo.!!! “Wants gifts for last day of living…” #I’m.Dead.! Lol.!

Blossoming.Into.A.Beautiful.Rose.

This is great! I’m stealing so much stuff on this thread!

(As to what I’m actually doing–watching the clock until I can call it a day work-wise. After today I’m off through New Year’s.) (Or should I have taken my use-or-lose earlier in case none of us are here later today??)

I’m sitting at the computer, waiting for a skype call from my grandson in Israel. It hasn’t come through yet and I’m getting a little worried. ;)

I’m glad the apocalypse waited until I got out of the shower…wouldn’t want to have to deal with that naked :D.

I just hope there isn’t some nut job in the middle east that made plans today with all the hubbub…

We’re still here. I suppose that means I’ll have to finish Christmas shopping…

I think the last decade has proven that it’s not really those abroad that we need to worry about…

^That was my thought. We have enough nut jobs in this country. Many of them innocuous looking white males.

I bet those Mayans are feeling pretty stupid right now.

^ ^

Actually, several news reports have stated that the Mayans are actually rolling the eyes at credulous non-Mayans who believe in the coming apocalypse in question…

Still looking forward to getting some free-falling slabs of delectable Mayan chocolate.  :D

Cobrat,
Have you said goodbye to your cousins? That could take a while. :)

^ ^

Why would I do that when the only thing that will hopefully happen is being inundated with tons of free-falling Mayan chocolate.  :D
