My guilty pleasure is French toast with sliced bananas and powdered sugar. Give me a mug of hot chocolate to drink with it and I’m in Heaven.

4BoysMum, I live in Maine and am devoted to Indian food. It used to be that it was difficult to find the ingredients here, but in recent years the sources have improved dramatically, at least in the Portland area. You need to learn to cook Indian! :)

There are some good Indian restaurants in Portland now, aren’t there?

Yes, there are several.

I just saw the news and it looks like butter and fluff on white toast is in the forecast for tomorrow. :)

Of course you do, why add carbs by using bread?

Those frozen rectangles of hash browns–fried and topped with white sugar.

That, and People Magazine (I only read it at the dentist’s office–and I’m sort of embarrassed if my kids see me reading it.)

Ice cream in bed, watching chick flics

I like reading mindless Regency romance novels and lightweight Dorothy Gilman books. Also love playing “Free Cell,” my latest guilty pleasure.

I need to get down to Portland more! I know of a little “take out” Indian place run by a guy from Scotland that has great food but I don’t know of any restaurants. It’s around a 2 hour drive but hey it would be worth it!!
I didn’t mean for this thread to be just about food, although I love seeing what people consider a guilty treat!
My other thing is watching awful TV like “Real Housewives” and “Teen Mom” when there’s no one else here to comment!

The JD Robb “In Death” book series.

Also, the new Dallas TV series, although I don’t know what will happen to that now that Larry Hagman has gone to the big oil baron’s ball in the sky.

Dance Moms and Abby’s Ultimate Dance Competition.

Tapioca pudding.

Ditto to Dance Moms.
Rewatching the whole Desperate Housewives series.
Free cheesy Nook books about cute romances that are predictable from page one.

Chips and Dip
Whipped cream alongside any sweet
Good bread, warm with lots of butter slathered on top and sprinkled with white sugar.
A Chipotle chicken burrito bowl with lots of hot salsa, sour cream, corn and cheese.

Cheese fondue. The kind that comes in the package you just dump into a pot and heat. Big loaf of Vienna/French bread (not a baguette–the larger squishy white bread kind). I’ve gone from cubing the bread and toasting it in the oven to slicing it and and putting it in the toaster. Dip it right into the pot I have the fondue in. <erp></erp>

Oh, I really love grilled Swiss on rye with roasted sauerkraut. No mayo. I could eat those all day and my family is horrified.

Ferrer Rocher chocolates

HIT chocolate cookies

“Revenge” and “Gray’s Anatomy”. DVR and watch when no one else is home, delete immediately!

Oh my, yes!

Truthfully, I have so many guilty pleasures that the thread would have to be titled “guilty pleasure of the day.” Today, fried oysters at a top-notch seafood place (lunch with friend) with an order of shrimp campechana to go (extending guilty pleasure of the day into evening.) ;)

Dark chocolate salted carmels from Costco. Why do they disappear so quickly?
