So, when do you start wearing spring clothing!

^^^^But you wouldn’t put on those lighter weight clothes if it’s 20 degrees - like your peep toe booties. In the same fashion, you’re not going to wear the heavy sweater, black jeans and suede booties if it’s 80 right? - even if it was February 15??? So it’s not the date, it’s the weather!!!

I think white jeans with a lighterweight or colorful sweater is a great transition outfit.

I dress for comfort/warmth, so as long as it is cold and windy, winter clothes it is!

I get hot easily so my clothes are sectioned by sleeveless/tank, short sleeves, 3/4 length sleeves, and long sleeves. The heavier sweaters never made it out of their container this winter. At 45 degrees, I’m in lighter weight 3/4 sleeve tops and ballet flats that work for spring and fall equally well. I don’t want to wear winter clothes any more, even though we will definitely still have many 30something days.

Weight, layers and skin exposure are my criteria. Colors are secondary and I have white wool so do wear white in winter but it is winter white.

Here in the Deep South, spring weather has been with us for over a month. I get ansy and pull out the spring colors early. Today I am wearing a pink polo, for example. But I am a traditionalist when it comes to white. I have to wait until after Easter.

The high is in the 30s today. I am wearing the same old…however there are sweaters and T shirts in brighter colors reminiscent of Easter eggs and flowers that I appreciate in anticipation of warmer days to come. That’s about as good as spring dressing gets in my corner of the upper Midwest.

Right now its 24 degrees, the ground outside is snow covered, and they are saying we will get another foot of snow tomorrow so I’m not even remotely ready to switch into spring clothes. Today I am in black and purple and my snow boots are by the door.

I think when the weather starts warming up into the 50’s is when I start to think changing the wardrobe into short sleeves and lighter colors. As for white pants, I wouldn’t wear them no matter what the weather.

There isn’t much of a spring where I live unfortunately. I have put away my heavy sweaters and turtlenecks.

I’m going to visit my mom next week where the temperature highs are around 65. I’m trying to figure out what to wear in 65 degree weather. Is it long sleeves and pants? I’m thinking no shorts but ankle length works, right?

Usually I overpack but I’d like to pare things down a bit.

Here, 65 is June weather…

I would love to wear spring clothes now since I am so tired of my winter clothes. Since the weather report is forecasting our fourth Nor’easter in four weeks it seems like spring is a long time away for us. We are getting 5 to 10 inches of snow…again.

My clothes are not labeled by season. I have lighter weight clothes, and heavier weight clothes…and things in between.

I wear the clothes that are suitable for the weather.

@abasket , but I’m not talking about the extremes like 20 degrees vs. 80 degrees. My post above yours mentions a scenario of 58 degrees. So, I guess I was talking 50 to 60 degrees…March and April. Which does everyone gravitate towards? You could actually wear either in that weather.

Also, for other posts, I’m well aware if you are still in the middle of winter with snow on the ground and 32 degrees, you are not putting in spring clothing, I wouldn’t either.

@deb922 …look at Shaeffers blog, she’s really into Spring right now. I think clothing like that is great, throw on a white or jean jacket. During the day, I think you could wear long shorts, cute fitted white Or blue jean color come to mind. Definitely white jeans for sure.

Given the impending snowstorm in the Northeast tomorrow… who knows!! This March has been unseasonably colder than normal and the 4th storm since the beginning of the month. A wetter and warmer spring has been forecast as well.

Up here in Maine, I wear my brightest cashmere and wool in the season the rest of you call “spring,” but which we know as “snow is heavier and harder to shovel.”

@conmama , during those 50-60 degree days, I’ll be wearing warm clothes. The air is too cool for short sleeves, and I’ll still need layers. Conversely, in the fall when it is 50-60 degrees, I might be wearing lightweight clothes. The air is still warm in the fall, so I can wear lighter weights then.

I hate to feel cold, so with air conditioning, I might be in long sleeves when indoors, except for July, our most humid month.

Long shorts? Not around here…yet. It’s in the 20’s and we have a winter storm warning for 6-12 inches of snow.

Shorts…around here…those are for hot weather…above 70 or higher.

80* here, but still not seeing shorts or white jeans. shirts with lighter colors, cardigans. No gloomy colors. Some male clients come with short sleeve polo shirts, but male staff in long shirts, white, blue, etc. I was at the Fidelity office today, and again, light weight suits and long sleeve shirts. No matter he had on shorts today, even tho,it was warm.

Haha, you ask as another nor’easter approaches much of the east coast.

If it is spring outside, I can’t see it because all ground and bushes are snow covered!

I can start wearing spring clothes now,as it is officially spring. But I’ll be darn cold! So I’ll wait until May.

Heck, H and I are cold and wearing long sleeves in Honolulu! Some of us are actually allergic to cold and get hives from it. Hives are NOT a good fashion look.

Six to twelve inches of snow expected today into tomorrow.

I think I’ll leave the shorts and tanks for a while, lol.

Yes, I was going to wear a yellow skirt today after thinking about this thread. Woke up and it was 14 degrees outside and decided not yet for the spring clothes.
