I hope not! I always dislike when April is real warm, as it never stays that way. May ends up feeling cold and rainy. That has happened a few times in the last decade. I’d much rather have a gradual warming trend, but with the sun out!
Still too cold here, hail and rain.
I had to warm my car up this morning to melt the ice off the windshield…
We had a little cold snap in Dallas for the past few days, but it’s warming up again, probably for good. It’s beautiful and green, with cool mornings and evenings and warm, sunny afternoons. Don’t look forward to summer, when it gets so hot that grass starts looking burned and brown.
Snow flurries in DC on Monday, but low 80s are predicted for Friday. I think I may need to finally unpack my boxed up spring/summer clothes this weekend and clear out the winter ones from my tiny, inadequate closet.
I did the winter/summer switch this morning. I left winter things I’ve been wearing over and over in the closet, though. It’s going to be pretty the next few days, but cold again next week. I just wasn’t wearing all the really heavy stuff and wanted it out. I can just get it from the spare closet if needed.
Unless it’s really cold, I’m wearing my spring tops, sweaters and cardigans with my jeans, all colors!
I’m so sick of winter clothes.
Next, SANDALS.
I don’t have a lot of inbetween shoes (for work) - either low boots I wear with dresses or sandals or more open toed shoes. I’m SICK of the boots but it’s not warm enough for the sandals yet!
If my clothes stop fitting in one closet, either the closet gets enlarged or the clothes get culled. B-) I am just too lazy to move things between closets.
I’m really hoping to be able to wear spring clothes on Friday. And sit on the screen porch.
Ugh! Here in Michigan winter is still going strong. Stupid storm names, Xanto is coming. The weekend is going to be bad. The next 2 weeks look cold still.
But I’m with @abasket with the boots. I’m so tired of them. And I’m so so tired of my down coat.
Today, I downgraded my down coat to a Max Mara that looks like this:

It is truly featherweight. Spring is here full speed, tulips are blooming, but no sandals in sight (unless worn with wool socks lol). Rain requires a hood. Wearing ballet flats (Emile by Paul Green) without socks, so that is progress, although I could have worn boots. Folks in Seattle seem to mix and match clothes from different seasons!
The temperature is going above 70 here tomorrow. My spring clothing will get its first wearing.
I also lack spring boots and shoes. I’m wearing my same 3 over and over that can be worn right now. I also have a pair of light tan suede peep toe bootie that I would wear in the evenings. I normally wear those spring and fall. That’s it. I could use a couple more, but with my March Madness Mania spending, I will wait it out until sandal season.
We got to 50 today but the long range forecast still only has one day in the 60’s. I’m going to SF next week and hoping it’ll be, at the very least, a tad bit warmer.
It got up to 40 F today. Yay, us!
I wore a dress and heeled sandals—that’s spring clothing for me! It’s blustery and showering intermittently here. Brr! At least I have sleeves and brought light sweater which I didn’t need to wear.
I was going to post about but what @Barbalot did. This weather has been so crazy. But, wine on the porch currently scheduled for Friday after work… yippee!
I’ll take Honolulu showers over Seattle showers any time.
@BunsenBurner , is that ad correct? $1,100 for a featherweight down jacket? Maybe I misread USD ? Yowza!
I got mine off Real Real for a fraction of that! These Novef jackets are amazing. No feathers of down poking, no settling, and a very much washable. They pack into a tiny ball, can fit into a big pocket. I would not pay $1000 for them, but they are better than Patagonia as long as the price is right.
