I agree that the final should consist of marko and the three girls. But they wont do that. Tadd has also been promised a slot in the final by the judges. The more I look at MELANIE’S HIP HOP THE MORE I LOVE IT FOR ITS SHEER PRIMALITY. Woops caps lock was on.

Hehe, interficio, I just thought you were being emphatic…

And I stand corrected (looked it up on Wiki): there WERE only 3 finalists last year: Robert, Kent and Lauren.

So, do you think tonight that 4 of the 6 dancers will have to dance for their lives (2 boys, 2 girls), or will they do it individually (possibly 3 boys dancing for their lives, etc)??

Well, if we’re comparing moms, I think Melanie’s mom and grandma are terrific, too. I love seeing the pride on their faces every week and I don’t think they’ve missed a single performance!

I didn’t connect to that for some reason. I guess as a teen guy the Minaj hip hop just made me want to get up and move as opposed to “boring” contemporary routines

yeah, always remember it’s about naming “America’s FAVORITE Dancer”. Not necessarily the “best”. And, though I think all three of the girls from last night are more proficient dancers than Tadd, he is awfully impressive in what he does (how can ANYONE hop around on one hand like he does??) and he has also done really well in picking up other styles.

The eventual winner of this, though, should be either Melanie or Sasha, I think. Barring something crazy next week…

I hope someone who hires dancers takes Ricky under his/her wing. I love the way that guy can move…like he weighs nothing. Not exactly the look the judges wanted in a guy, but wonderful to watch.

I remember the last two cycles really caring who won…liking thinking about it during the week. Not so this year.

Tadd isn’t even the best break dancer they’ve had on the show, but he’s getting by on looks and personality.

Just watching Kent and Lauren last night reminded me of the magic that’s lacking this year. Not having a truly compelling male dancer leaves a big gap.

I agree that the two remaining guys are not as talented as the girls but I remember a guy winning a few seasons back who also was behind in his technical ability. Anyone remember Russell? I think both Marko and Tadd are more talented than Russell.

I hate to draw comparisons to Dancing With The Stars, but there IS one major similarity. The best dancer doesn’t win a (slight) majority of the time since the voting public gets to weigh in and affect the outcome.

I finally caught up on watching the Wed and Thurs shows I had DVR’d. I have to say, it is clear that the Melanie and Sasha are neck and neck. Sasha’s dance w/ the wall had me crying, so I think that means she did something well. Melanie is just talented, but her hip hop was okay for me. I’m glad she at least did it so I know she can kind of pull it off (yes, it did look like a Vermonter doing it, jshain). I still like Marko and Tadd though, so they are the right final 2 boys. Right now, Sasha is my girl … she can do no wrong right now and I look forward to her dances. Melanie probably didn’t see Sasha coming, so I bet she’s a little nervous.

Seeing Pasha, Dmitry & Kent this week was a huge reminder of the lack of male talent this year. One issue is this year’s guys were either short and/or slight, so pairing was tough and gracefuls lifts non-existant.

I can’t put my finger on it, but I just don’t care for any of the dancers this year. It seems in prior years, we get more background info on them or more videos of them during the week. It’s all business this year.
