<p>it’s too hard to wait for December 1st to find out…so tell me what you guys think (it’s hard to be optimistic but i’m wishing on stars every night just the same) :</p>

<p>White female from PA, not a legacy= BIGGEST WEAKNESS
i’ve taken absolutely the toughest course load at my school all through high school, made ALMOST all A’s except for a few 89.5’s which the teachers won’t round up b/c they’re all out to get me. just kidding.</p>

<p>ranked 4/186 but i’m poised to be 1/186 after mid year…too bad UVA wont see this…</p>

<p>SAT’s: 690 V/680 M/680 W
SAT II’s: Math-660 Lit-640 Bio-570
(i know, i know…needs work)</p>

<p>3 really fantastic recommendations. i mean REALLY fantastic.
Essays= some of my best work, i think.</p>

Varsity swim team 9th-12th
National Honors Society 11th & 12th -president this year
Senior Class Play- lead

  • 12 yrs of piano- i sent UVA a music supplement which wasn’t too shabby if i do say so myself
    6 yrs of vocal lessons
    certified SCUBA diver 11th-12th (lots of work goes into it)
    Mock U.N. 12th
    Debate Team 12th
    *(i would certainly have started mock u.n. and debate team in 9th grade except it wasnt offered in our school until this year)
    National Youth Leadership Forum- 11th
    National Young Leaders Conference- 12th
    Lifeguard (2 separate jobs and a volunteer lifeguard somewhere else) 10th-12th
    Assistant at local bakery- 11th & 12th
    Talent Show participant- 10th and 12th</p>

Local Essay contest winner- 10th
District speech contest- 1st place- 11th
Commended National Merit Scholar
Riverview Intermediate service learning award- 10th & 11th</p>

<p>I think you in. </p>

<p>Only two things could possibly keep you out:</p>

<p>1.) SAT scores are slightly low for out of state.
2.) Less than perfect SAT II scores kind of undermine your very impressive class rank. In essence, it may show that while you’re very good at memorizing and getting A’s, you truly didn’t learn enough to be super competitive on the SAT II’s. High AP scores would definitely do you alot of good if you took any.</p>

<p>That said, I still think your in.</p>

<p>Everything looks pretty good, except for the SAT scores. Depending on how good your essays are, I think you have a good chance.</p>

<p>I think you will get in - only thing preventing you from getting in are your SAT scores.</p>
