Our son is coming home in January for the first time in four years and bringing his new wife. That is all I asked for Christmas and all I want for 2024. Well, that, and perhaps staying in Maine through the holidays next year and getting to watch the snow fall in our woods.

The eclipse on April 8. Hoping for clear skies in Texas, we decided the northeast was too risky…

The women’s chorus I sing with starts rehearsal in February for three concert performances in May. It’s a big chorus-we hit the stage with 100+ singers-and our concerts are all memorized. It’s a lot of fun work with a lot of fun people and I look forward to rehearsal every week. Don’t know what’s in the program yet but I do know the name the name of the concert is “Come to your Senses” which sounds promising.

Looking forward to planning a celebration for DH’s ‘big’ birthday with our kids and their SOs this spring.

I’m about half-way through a 10 month recovery from complex ortho surgery that limits my mobility. I have great hopes for a return to comfort, long walks, house projects and travel in 2024.

I forgot about the eclipse. We’re hoping for good weather in Maine. Our cabin is right in the middle of the path. My SIL and her friend are coming for it, as well as our daughter who turns 26 the day before the eclipse.

I had a knee replacement in December so I’m hoping for good results. I look forward to doing all the things that I’ve been limited on. Have several trips I want to do and hope to get back on my bike.
Enjoy spending time with my grandkids and getting down on the ground to play.

I think traveling is great and certainly a priority as we are now retired. I find that I’m looking forward to those things at home that I really enjoy.

I’m definitely looking forward to our daughter’s multiple wedding events. After 2 years that have been extremely difficult through her cancer treatments, it will be an amazing experience to see her married to the man who has supported her through it all.

I am looking forward to a year with good health for all of my family. Last year was not kind to us so a period of time with no great worries would be nice. Although with 3 octogenarian parents, I’m not sure I can wish for an entire year.

I’m looking forward to life at home. To Nordic ski since last year we weren’t able to go once. To walks in the woods and many rounds of golf. And after the last wedding celebration at the end of June, to a lovely summer in the perfect place. Home.

And to our favorite fall activity. Traveling northern Michigan trying out new to us golf courses. Truly our favorite end to the season.

And always, time spent with the granddaughter is always worth it.
