Hi there, I have just submitted my application for the School of the New York Times Summer Academy.
I applied for financial aid, as I doubt my family would be able to afford the residential fees and flight tickets if I were to be accepted (I am from the UK). However, I don’t fit the requirements to apply for the scholarship.
If any past SONYT who got financial aid is comfortable to answer: how much did it cover, based on your situation?
I would also appreciate anyone’s experiences of SONYT since there’s quite little information on it online.
Thank you so much!!
Which requirement do you not meet…and why waste time applying for things you don’t qualify for?

@blossom I applied separately for financial aid, but not the Diverse Voices Scholarship :).
Anyone can apply for partial FA, but for the fully funded scholarship you have to either qualify for free school lunch or household make a certain income.
