Hi, I was wondering what are the prompts for the essays for the Sophie Davis program ( i have seen a thread talking about them before but I’m not sure if they change each year). Also, does anyone know when the application opens and where to access it because when I use the Sophie Davis website to apply it says that 'form isn’t available '.
I would really appreciate it someone could help with this.

The application goes live by the middle of October to early November. Last year it was October 16th.

There are 3 essays usually. Each essay is up to 1000 words. When I applied, the essay topics were:

“Influence Essay”- Discuss what factors influenced your decision to pursue a career in medicine.

“Meaningful Contribution Essay” - Discuss a meaningful contribution that have you made to your school and/or your community and the factors that motivated you to pursue that change or those changes.

“Mission Essay” - Discuss how the mission of the Sophie Davis Program and the CUNY School of Medicine is something with which you identify, why, and what have you accomplished to demonstrate this.
You will be asked to elaborate on your essays if you are invited for an interview.
Has anyone gotten any invites for an interview or have they not rolled any out yet?
The interviews will start on February 4th. All interview dates fall on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. The last date for interviews is March 19th.

When will the first interview invites be sent out? Last year I think they came out today.
I heard some got sent out today, but I haven’t heard from anyone close to me if they got one

Where did you get an interview?
It should be sent via email. I got mine today and im scheduled to go the 18th.
Also forgot to mention that the interviews are a rolling thing so not everyone gets them at the same time.
When did you apply? Should I be worried because I applied oxtober. Also what r ur stats if u don’t mind?
I started applying around September and finished my entire application legit on the last day. In terms of my stats, I had around a 4.0, and participated in general clubs in high school such as student gov, peer forward, hosa, step etc… In addition, don’t be too worried because interview still go on until the middle of march. As long as all of your requirements were sent in on time, then you have a chance at getting an interview

If possible I’d appreciate if you could ask after the interview when they will last until, only if that seems appropriate at the time.
