Hey all I just finished my interview!!! Overall it went really well. The interviewers are super nice so it was overall a great experience. In terms of an interview, I would just say be yourself and know what you wrote in your essays. In terms of when the interviews are over, they said the third week of March and that decisions come out the first of April. I hope this helps !!!
Thank you! Good luck
Thank you and best of luck to the rest of you guys.
Where there any other people there? Also when did you apply?
Yes so thereâs about I would say maybe 10 or less other kids there.
do you know if interviews come any other day than fridays?
Also could you please provide the month you applied? thanks
Was your interview in person or online? And can you please let me know which email you got the interview invite from? I had my interview online in Jan. Only one person interviewed me.
My interview was in person. I didnât know that they were doing online interviews. Maybe it depends on whether your instate or not Iâm no quite sure. The email that I applied with was also the email that they sent me my interview for.
Okay so I applied for the program during the months September to December. It took me that long for my application to be fully completed because I was waiting for teachers to submit their letter of recommendation. Iâm not sure if the letter interviews come any other day but Friday. However, itâs most likely that you get an invitation over a weekend because they wasnât to give you time to prepare (at least 5 days). In addition, this is just a psa, the time that you applied to the program doesnât factor into when you get an interview or not. Getting an interview is simply based on your essays and your supplemental documents. The only way you are not going to get an interview is if you didnât fully complete the application ex; not having all 5 letters of recommendation.
Yeah also 3 people did interview me in a sense. One was a student interview where they just basically make you feel comfortable. And like help you know what to expect. The second one I had was with one of the admissions director and the third was with a faculty member.
thank you. so there is still chance of being accepted? i applied early october with all things submitted then including 6 LORâs, creative piece, wtc.
yes thereâs still about 3-4 weeks left for interviews
Do you think you know the dates and times invites come out?
Iâm not quite sure but what I will say is im pretty sure interviews are only held on Tuesdayâs and Wednesdays.
If we havenât heard back should we assume rejections?
Not as of right now. Wait until the third week of march because that is when interviews are over. Unfortunately, if you donât get an interview you can assume rejection.
Hello. Good luck to all applicants! I have several questions as this program got under our radar (not applying this year). May be people in this thread could help me?
- Does the program have in-state preference?
- Does this program require submission of SAT/ACT scores? If so, what is the minimum?
- What are the matriculation requirements to medical school? No MCAT, what else?
Thank you so much!
- Im not sure if there is a preference in terms of whether your in state or not. Itâs more so based on how competitive your application is.
2)SATâs and ACTâs are the set optional and have been since around covid.
- There is no MCAT for this program. If you apply and get in, you basically have a a place in their medical school. However after the end of your undergraduate portion of the BS/MD, I have heard from manny students that they do an interview before the medical school portion basically asking questions like ; why medicine? However, it doesnât even really affect you because you still have a place in the program, itâs more of like a check in to make sure this is what you want to do.
I hope this helps, and good luck if and when you apply !!!
Thank you so much for your detailed reply!
Anytime. Any other questions just let me know !!!
