How many people are interviewed and if that what’s the accepted/wairlisr/reject amount?

The information I’m about to give is based on last years admissions cycle which I found online. Based on the information online, the stats are about the same from what I was told by one of the admissions directors that interviewed me except there were a lot more applicants this cycle. From online, there were about 980 applicants, 341 interviews conducted, 175 offers and the class size was 90. I hope this answered your question. Any other questions, feel free to ask away!!!

So you think if you get an interview odds r better? Also do u think there’s more interviews this year or not reallly considering the class size is staying 95 ish

Yes if you do get an interview your odds are better than if you don’t have one. Also I don’t think I there’s more interviews even if more people apple because I think they try to keep the numbers relatively the same. And lastly yes. The class size every year is maximum 96. The reason being that if you actually enter the building, it’s extremely small.

Is it worth sending a thank u email? But idk what they’re looking for tbh

I’ve never heard of that tbh but I don’t think so because they almost never get back to you. I do have an odd question tho, what grade are you in ?

12th i got an interview for tomrrow lol

Perioddddd yesssssssss

give me ADVICE PLS MI SO NERVOUSSS

Okay so I myself had a mentor who is currently an M1 in the program. This is what she said:

  • Please come in early. There is some breakfast available for you. Feel free to take it. Also there will be other Sophies and other interviewees in the room you will be able to speak with before you start your interviews.
  • Do not sound rehearsed. Coming in prepared is different than sounding rehearsed. You want to come off as genuine as possible.
  • Take your time when speaking and also have a conversation with your interviewers. They are all super nice and would enjoy a more conversation type interview instead of a question and answer interview.
  • Ask questions as well. Questions to ask the person who is interviewing you, e.g.student life, support groups, and clubs.
  • Know what you talked about in your essays
    I hope this helps!
In addition wear business or business casual clothes

tysmm! Wish me luck ill lyk how it goes tmrw afternoon. But you have connections OMG!!! What were some questions they asked apart from the obv ones like why us, medicine.

for example, what shud i say if they ask what type of doc i wanna become or where i see msyelf in 15 years?

Yesss I do I can always put you on. The questions that they ask in terms of why medicine, why Sophie Davis and what would you do if you didn’t want to become a doctor.Your first interview will be a student interview. This is where you can freely ask the students how you can go about the rest of your interview in terms of like faculty etc…Also have a conversation. Do not sound rehearsed. Each interview I had, they were all laughing in a good way. Just be yourself and show your personality and who you really are. Do not try to be someone that you are not.

Do u have ig lol

Also this is just a spa to anyone, if you don’t get an interview then you can always re-apply as a first semester college student. That’s what I myself did. I graduated early, I am a current second semester freshman at ccny and I replied my first semester. Not all hope is lost. Any other questions, please feel free to let me know.

yes. my ig is : mikayla.xoxo

typo lol it’s mikaylam.xoxo
