Sophmore Year Course Load

Hey y’all, was wondering if this was decent for sophmore year courses:

English II Honors
Pre-Calc Honors
Chemistry Honors
AP Physics I
AP Biology
AP Spanish IV
Art III Drawing & Painting

Too much? Not enough?

3 science classes? 3 AP classes? Crazy!

  1. Three APs sophomore year is much more than enough, and three science classes is kinda going overboard. Nevertheless, if you want to do it, then go for it as long as you fulfill all of the college requirements.
  2. Where is your social science class? Seems really weird to skip history in sophomore year. Replace AP Biology or AP Physics with any history class, as you don't necessarily need 3 science classes sophomore year.

This is a very bad idea! You usually need 4 social studies credits to graduate and get into college.

I don’t think missing out on history sophomore year is necessarily bad, since a lot of states only require 3 years. My brother’s school only requires World History (AP HuGe fulfills this for some reason) and US History. Most people at my school don’t take a history sophomore year because they took World freshman year.

But if op could take a history like AP Euro or APUSH instead of a third science class, I’d definitely suggest that
