Sophomore Year Classes

Hi, I am trying to get into USNA or USAFA for college and would like to know if these classes are too much (with extracurriculars of course):
Honors Biology 1
Honors Chemistry 1
Honors Algebra 2
Honors English 2
Student Council (counts as a class)
Pre-Engineering
Piano 1 & 2
NJROTC

Extracurriculars:
Cross Country
Track (maybe quitting)
Student Council
Orienteering
Volunteering at the YMCA

I don’t know if these schools have special requirements for classes or are you mostly worried about GPA?

I don’t know if taking Bio and Chem at the same time is a good idea.

What about social studies and foreign language?

So maybe take Bio next year, then Chem junior year, and physics senior year together with pre engineering?

Oh, I forogt, I’m also taking French 1. I’m not as good in Chemistry as I am in Biology, but I am planning to work my butt off next year.

Also, next year the only social studies available are AP European and AP World, which neither is required (semester of economics, semester of government, 1 year of us history, and another social studies course is required, which i already have down with ap human geography this year). So next year I felt like the better choice was to double up on science because my social studies would only count as an elective and it may even hurt my GPA. I’m an all A student, and I plan to keep it that way.

It would be best to have at least one AP class in your schedule, and are your honors classes all weighted?

as someone who took bio and chem at the same time, it is a good idea. This is a good schedule, but I’d try to pick up an AP, maybe in history, since you don’t want to regress.

I feel like it wouldn’t be worth it since I am doing tons of extracurriculars next year as well, and I wouldn’t have as much motivation in an AP history next year since it isn’t required.
