My S24 is admitted! 3.6 GPA. Test optional. Varsity sport, lots of volunteer time. We won’t see any need based either.

Did everyone get a small personal touch in their letter? Also does anyone know the direct admit acceptance rate for Cox. Did not realize I would have to wait another week for that part.

Brother got in and received the second century scholarship. I can breathe normally again haha. Honestly more excited for him than I was when I got in.

The three above smu are:

  1. University of Florida
  2. UT Austin
  3. FSU

And there are about 50 other applications, but I will probably go to one of the above unless I get a crazy scolarship at one of the others.

Congrats to your brother.
As you are a current student at SMU, can you please shed some light on how does the aid work ? As your brother got second century merit now, will the need based aid they are going to give later considers the merit aid he has already received and henceforth will receive a lower need based aid ? OR Is the need based aid does not look at your merit aid at all and is completely independent ?

She was also a Distinguished Scholar and is also waiting for Cox.
