Is University honors comes out the same time as standard SMU admission? My son is accepted but Cox decisions won’t come out till early January.
My child got in EA for a science major in Dedman. They just were invited into SMU Honors program a couple of days ago via email, about a week or so after getting accepted.

My child got a provost scholarship. Submitted a 32 ACT superscore. 4.17 GPA weighted/3.98 unweighted. I know you asked TO, but just sharing our data point.

My son received 20k a year, he has a 4.0/4.27.
Test optional and is still waiting for Cox.

Another question, for those that are accepted to SMU, do all receive an email to apply for Hunts/Presidential scholarship? I understand that only around 20 kids get chosen for each.
Anyone know how receptive/responsive admissions is to follow ups re: merit aid? My student was accepted EA, is waiting on Cox decision and has been invited to apply for the Hunt Scholars Program. He was not offered one $ in merit, so he wrote a very positive letter thanking them for the acceptance and letting them know that the other EA schools he’s heard back from have averaged a merit offer of $32K and that is a number pretty hard to ignore. Anyone have experience with this? He sent it via email the Friday afternoon just as they closed the Admissions office for the holiday so it is likely no one has even read it yet. I am an alum and wonder if that is why he wasn’t offered anything?
This was exactly what we, me and my daughter, did at the time. She was “interviewing” other students, and I was “interviewing” other parents. Our school, even our state, doesn’t send many kids to SMU. It is just that people can’t completely rely on the counselors. We, parents and students, have to do the homework.
Any word on Cox admissions? Anxiously waiting over here…
Same. No official word yet, but going by “early Jan” mentioned in the admit letter, I’d reckon end of next week. How I wish it’s sooner.

Is BBA Scholars different than the Cox Business Direct? Is it supposed to say BBA Scholars?
All incoming freshman that apply and are accepted into Cox are “Business Direct.” Of those, about 100 are invited to be BBA scholars and part of the BBA Scholars program. My daughter got an additional BBA Scholars scholarship as well - not sure if all of the BBA Scholars are offered a scholarship.

Why much extra does BBA Scholar Scholarship get?
I believe my daughter said $7500/yr, $30,000 over 4 yrs, but. I can’t remember for sure. If not exact, it was close to that.
Was you daughters BBA scholars invite sepeeate to the business direct offer?
No - it all came in the same letter/email.
D25 admitted into Cox as Business Direct. Very glad she has been accepted early!
