Speaking Prodigy

How can I be a prodigy in oral interpersonal communication and public speaking?

If you’re asking how to, you obviously aren’t a prodigy, and you can’t “make” yourself a prodigy. A prodigy is someone who at a young age already has natural amazing talents. For example, Mozart was known as a musical prodigy.

A better way to verse it would be “to be skilled in” oral interpersonal communication and public speaking. The advice I would give is to be well prepared and be comfortable with the audience.

I am obviously not yet a prodigy in that sphere as my post directly states. For your information, there are four more definitions to the word “prodigy”. Look it up in the dictionary. In my case, the usage of that word conveyed someone who is extremely good at something, and not someone with innate, unearned abilities.

I don’t want to sound arrogant, but my speaking ability has always been above normal. What I would like is to enhance that ability to the highest level.

Wow, if you know your speaking ability has always been above normal, why don’t you just keep doing what you’ve been doing right, you might actually get better…i dunno, just an idea. bombaster!

I never said that I did anything.

Well, you must have been doing something right for your speaking ability to be “above normal”.

Maybe. Well, I’m used to talking formally a lot for classes.

I want to have speaking abilities like Stephen Colbert, who can brilliantly engineer oral dialog however he wants.

Well, he’s a comic. You actually have to be funny to even dream of that magnitude of eloquence.

exactly penndreamer. The OP even asked in the ACT forum if there are any “perpetual patterns on the acts” and wasn’t specific. Everyone thought that the OP meant answer patterns (which he did not mean), and I answered the OP thinking it was about the answers. The OP then attacks me and tells me that the ACT prep clearly implies that there are patterns in the format of the ACTs!!! So why did he ask the question originally, I have no idea.

I think the OP wants attention because to ask a question you already know the answer to is really unnecessary. And to the OP: Stephen Colbert has his own writers, which means just like in real newscasts, he has a script.

and I found out that digital elf has already graduated from high school and is doing a gap year, and since I don’t want to make a third reply in the ACT forum I will do it here. You should take this year to wise up and grow out of your high school persona. Also, if you really want to be a doctor because of the money, I hope you don’t become my doctor. I’ve talked to people in med school and they told me you will not make it through med school if your only motivation is money.

Once again, you don’t back your statements with concrete arguments.

Take it easy mate.

Don’t take things so seriously or you’ll burn out.

how about you grow up and not tell me what to do? You challenged me in the other thread and I took your challenge. And I’m doing fine here at MSU, thank you very much.

lol, but smurfette is right!

How exactly are my statements not backed up? Your argument for being wiser than me isn’t even supported. Reply in the other thread as to how you’re exactly “wiser” than me. By using the phrase “concrete arguments” and the like to make yourself sound more intelligent will not support your argument. If you want to increase your post count (and it is pretty low), then why don’t you post something that is relevant and useful?

and to the poster above me, thank you! I’m not the only one who’s seeing this.

You shouldn’t waste your fingers’ energy with this guy. People like those bring your IQ down

I know…but if someone attacks me when I was trying to help him/her out and claims to be “wiser” than me, I’m going to defend myself.

Why are you not inclined to post in the ACT thread? Is it because people other than me turned against you?

schrizto is just upset because he ran out of arguments a few posts above us.

:) It’s just too easy to find flaws in your statements.

First of all, I’m not telling you what to do. I’m merely advising. By this logic of yours, you already told me quite a few things to do. I advise you to refresh your memory by checking your previous posts.

I never said that I was wiser than you. You’re the one who said it. I simply shared my thought on the fact that truly wise people don’t usually say they’re wise.

Icer if you are reffering to me as the “guy”, please back your statements if you have enough IQ. If you are not, than please ingnore this paragraph.

I posted twice in your thread in the ACT forum after you said that my claims were “invalid”. How about you check it before you start running your mouth again? I’ve asked you twice already, what flaws are in my arguments? You’re starting to sound like a broken record, and you still cannot back up your accusation of me having flaws in my arguments.

Like I said before I never said I was wiser than you. I said I was wiser than you in the subject of the ACTs. And you did claim indirectly that you were wiser than me. REREAD YOUR OWN POSTS!

Also, you claimed in another post that you went to a university in Michigan. Since I was born and raised in Michigan and I’m attending a university in the state of Michigan, what “university” are you referring to? And then you said that you went to a CC. So why are you taking the ACTs? If you really got a near perfect score on the SATs, why did you go to a “university” or “CC” and now you’re taking the ACTs? So which is it, a university or a CC? Don’t you know that you don’t need ACT/SAT scores if you are transferring from a CC to a university?

^Has nothing to do with original argument, this is only out of curiosity.

I never attacked you…you’re the one who started.

and you’re the one who said first that you’re wiser than me. I never said that I’m wiser than anybody.

I never put you or your university down (I didn’t even know where you went). MSU is a great school.

I also never compared myself to a professor. Haha, that’s outragous.

I actually do have respect for many people.

Also, you have no idea how much intellectual work I do.

To be honest, this truly is a waste of time. If you want to keep arguing though, please be my guest, but please make your agruments constructive.

The university and CC: that was during high school. I took very few classes.

I want to take the ACT to apply with both SAT and ACT scores
