I think a lot of us are in the same boat, so we could all pair up as apartment roommates. HAH!

Hey @StrawberryLover, did you hear back yet? Mine just changed to say the same too! Finally after 2 1/2 months of checking AT LEAST 20 times a day, there’s finally some movement!

@putabirdonit You might think you’re talking crazy but that’s the way it’s headed! As many of us on here still waiting it out, we should have enough to fill an entire tower.

HOLY CRAP GUYS I GOT IN! Into my 2nd major of choice but heck I’l take it. COLA Undeclared.
Stats:
3.32 GPA (I know its low but they really are doing holistic reviews this time)
Really good essays (3)
1 LOR
Somewhat good Volunteering Hours

Keep in there guys, I know its stressful and I know the waiting sucks but its so worth it when you see “Congratulations!” After seeing “In Review” for the past 3 months. The waiting is absolutely bad. And I know I was about to lose my mind. But trust me I couldn’t stop screaming when I saw that. I hope all of you get your results soon, hope to see all of you @ Orientation Hook’em! \m/

@jmbacqua nope ;( it went back to “in review” ;(

and congrats @Kooplar246!!

@Kooplar246 thanks a lot for let us know, but can you please provide us more about your stat? (1.What is your first choice? 2.If CNS, what Science and Math class did you take and what grade did you earn for those classes? 3.How many credit hrs you have with that 3.32 GPA?4.Your EC information.) Lastly, CONGRATULATIONS!!!, Appreciate for all time you were with us in this board!) THANK YOU!!!

@StrawberryLover don’t worry, mine went back to in review as well ;( What’s so odd about this damn system is that my status changed to complete around 7pm CST and as I check it again at 5am CST, it’s back to in review… I know for damn sure these admissions officers aren’t working around the clock to get our decisions out.

Mine still says in review at the top and complete/on time for the status… ughh.

So when does the break for the admissions officers end? it starts tomorrow right?

Congratulations @Kooplar246 !!!

And I know everyone keeps saying this, but to everyone who’s still in review keep patient. Goodluck to all of y’all! Hook’em!

Well, just got back from Congressman McCaul’s office (TX 10th district Congressman for Austin, my Congressman), and was told UT can essentially do whatever they want. There is no oversight to their admissions processes and even a phone call from the congressman himself couldn’t hurry along their decisions.
Backstory: I live in DC and work in the same building as McCaul for another congressman. With the rapport I have with his office, a favor could be gotten to have the call made. Unfortunately, I know what they are saying to be true.
So we still sit, twiddling our thumbs.

Also @StrawberryLover , I callled admissions today and asked what it meant for it to change to “Complete” and then back to “In Review”. Like normal, he beat around the bush and told me it “basically means nothing”. He said yes, the officers do go on break after today but “you can expect an admission decision anytime from now through the coming days”. When asked about the absolute last drop dead date for decisions, he said “Essentially from today up until school starts”. I said, you mean Jan 20th? and he said “Yes.”

Can anyone go over my statement of purpose essay? I just need some feedback on it.

Most likely it will come in the next 2 weeks right?

Has any one transferring into CS heard back yet?

As an OOS student, how long do you guys think it would take me to find a sublet before school starts? (1 room only, I do not want roommates) Because this will affect how long I should wait before just going to my other school that I got into instead.

Update: I got in, 2nd choice COLA Undeclared, and literally cried.
To all else waiting, I know everyone says hang in there. I say, research your fallback school, the one you already got into. Become thoroughly ok with going to that school. Work the finances, look for housing, see the course schedules. Surf their Reddit and CC page. I did exactly this yesterday and become incredibly calm with not getting accepted at UT. Even IF UT accepted me after the holidays, I would have already accepted admission elsewhere. In the span of 10 hours of research, I became completely ok with not going to UT. I said, f- it, if UT doesnt want to give me an answer this late in the game, then that’s not a school I want to go to. In the end it worked out for me but believe me when I say, today was the last day. I’m currently on active duty and today, close of business, was the last day to pick my orders for the Navy Reserve unit I’ll be drilling at. If I didn’t hear back today, I had my deposit ready to accept Penn State or UMD College Park.

For those wondering:
In-State Resident
42 credits accepted with 3.71 UW
2 LoR from Navy captain and commander
6 years Navy Intelligence
2 essays that give me chills every time I read them

Long story short: I had given up on UT and I was ok with it. I had already started to fall in love with the idea of Penn State, just like I did when I visited the campus and spent days on those essays and application. I say to you, remember the other schools you fell in love with. At the end of the day, where ever you go, you will have the time of your life, make friends you’ll never forget, and memories you’ll always cherish.

Just like all of you, I spent 10x the amount of time here that I spent spamming refresh on my UT MyStatus page. Y’all have been my support group and we’ve all been each other’s crowd-sourced intel to the inside of UT Admissions.

I mean this when I say it; I truly hope each and every one of you who has persevered through the monumental amount of stress that is UT Admissions get exactly what you seek.

God speed for the rest of the decisions.

@Yoohooos Sorry for not replying, too busy searching for a place to freaking live!

And that GPA was with 37 credit hours, 9 of which where from just AP credits.
Bio 1: C
Bio 2: B
Chem 1: A
College Algebra: A
Calculus: A
Pre Cal: B

I really think they look at your essays, I think it was my science GPA that really screwed me over but I still had some sort of confidence going in. Good Luck!

Okay, so my current university sent my transcript three times and UT still says they haven’t received it, so today I personally got a copy from my college and overnighted it… UGH. They better get it now!

can anyone give me feedback on my statement of purpose?

is anyone else having a tough time finding a place to live?

What is your spending limit? @Kooplar246

Thanks to @Kooplar246 @jmbacqua, last question, what is your first choice major? Thank you. Since I’m a Summer applicant I’m still trying to get in CNS, any major just to take science and math. I plan to transfer to Cockrell later semester. So, my goal is just get into CNS, I just want to know which one is easiest to get in. I saw many of us here get rejected from Biology and Chemistry, and hearing nothing back from CS, but most of us here still get in UT but for COLA (undeclared). Anyone applied for Physics or Astronomy, how is it going? I plan to apply to those and CNS undeclared. Thanks a lot everyonr.

@Yoohooos I would be careful about CNS undeclared as a first choice since UT already really emphasizes the fact that transfers students should come in knowing what they want to major in.
