@Newsie2015 have you been accepted yet? Or are you still waiting to hear back as well?
Still waiting. There was an issue with my transcript and my school sent the one with the wrong grade. So technically my app is completed but I called UT and they said I won’t go into review until they receive the right transcript. My school is sending out the correct copy today. So hopefully I will find out in the next week or so.
I’ll be attending UT regardless though since I am a CAP student. I just may not start in my major and will have to wait until spring.
Well that is awesome!!
good luck guyss!!
Has anyone come across transfer stats for moody? CNS has one.
This is from their Wikipedia page:
"many UT students apply for an internal transfer while completing their core requirements. The school leaves on average 200 spots per year for internal transfers and 80 spots for external transfers though official numbers are not disclosed. "
@Newsie2015 I saw that too… for some reason that seems very low to me. maybe it’s correct but I called admissions and they said moody accepts a couple hundred external transfers from 2 year colleges.
@mintpopsicles thanks! I hope it isn’t true. That would make Moody the college with the lowest acceptance rate. The RTF program would have a lower rate than USC’s CA program.
@Newsie2015 I never said I was supposed to be locked out.
@britni12 yeah. I know. You said that you haven’t been locked out yet from CNS because your app is still in review. I agreed with you that you wouldn’t be locked out but what Blue moon said about the importance of calculus is true.
@Newsie2015 I know it definitely has among the lowest, but I’ve heard from professors that it’s nearly impossible to transfer into.
last semester one of my professors was basically like “HAHAHA GOOD LUCK WITH THAT” and several people in his class told me the odds were terrible. but several of us did it so maybe it’s not quite as impossible as some say it is.
@mintpopsicles are you talking about USC or UT? I’ve read the USC CA major accepts maybe 10 or 20 a year. I’m not sure about UT but from what i’ve read they aren’t nearly as difficult to get into. I just wish we had specific stats by major so we could be a bit more realistic about it.
To all the people looking for apartments, I wouldn’t wait till orientation if you wanna have some good options available. I signed my apartment two weeks ago and had limited options.
@“Hope N Calories” fantastic news for those of us who may be a month out from our responses.
Anyone from McCombs have heard their decision?
Does anyone know if UT has a “limit” date for all their admissions decisions to be released? … I just want to know until when some of us will be waiting… And anyone heard back from Mcketta Chem Eng?
@jimpgz123 June 15
@quin97 Still waiting…
I’m basically signing a lease at UTSA, and meeting with an adviser there- and am ready to drop it all as soon as UT releases my decision. It will be about a $200 dollar loss- but attending UT Austin is obviously worth that…
Sucks that they put us through this, though… haha.
@Quin97 there is a list a few pages back. That have been no McCombs acceptances or denials on this thread
