@Jflores851 my CU cumulative after fall of 2015 was 3.26 and ACC cumulative (obviously) was 4.0. They don’t turn into one big cumulative I’m pretty sure… correct me if I’m wrong! But yeah
Hey guys if I could get your thoughts that would be awesome! So I was a CAP student at UTA and I applied for Moody-Advertising.
My first semester I took 15 hours and got a 3.0; however that was a result from having two surgeries that previous summer that I was having to drive to Dallas multiple times a week for PT and Post-Op Appts plus I was also preparing for a major jaw surgery I had in December (during the middle of finals week I might add, had to take 4 finals in one day) that required multiple pre-op Appts and X-Rays. I couldn’t focus on school as much so that is reflected in my GPA.
Second semester, I took 19 hours and I got a 3.842. I was having to drive back to Dallas again for post-op at least once a week & I was working in Dallas twice a week. Due to all of my surgeries I wasn’t able to do much extracurriculars outside of work.
So, overall I have a 3.47, 34 hours, my essays were pretty good in my opinion, applied for advertising and I’m nervous as heck to hear back. So if anyone has any thoughts, feel free to be blunt, on this and my chances of being admitted it would be appreciated!
On a side note, one of my friends was admitted to Moody-Journalism with around a 3.4 if that helps anyone!
So how many people on here as soon as someone posts they got accepted can’t click the “mystatus” link fast enough? LOL Congrats to those hearing today!

CONGRATS to everyone who was accepted today! I do have a question though, when you checked your mystatus tab, did it log on and automatically say congratulations or did you have to actually click the admissions tab?

Yeah no, I keep hoping to see ‘Congratulations!’ but UT just crushes my hopes with ‘In Review’. Every. Single. Time. Lol.
I have not seen or heard of any external McCombs acceptances other than international students. Has anyone heard or seen otherwise?
Have any CNS cap students been admitted to their major yet?

Ya same I havent heard anything about external transfer to Mccombs. I guess you need straight 4.0 to even be eligible for review lol
