@MyLonghorn, maybe you explained the rejection, although the transfer app specifically asked for the classes he was signed up for in the spring, and one of those classes was eng. Physics I. Thanks to you and @Clintonwk for your thoughts on this.
@cbrand My guess was his essays weren’t quite what they were looking for. I honestly think for transfer’s it’s SO important that you get them to want to meet you, and get them to think you can add something to benefit them. Were his essays personal at all, or just academic?
Also, what is his technical GPA? Math and science only? I hear this is very important when they review applicants. My theory is that when someone applies to a competetive school, and they select COLA undeclared as a 2nd choice, they are fully aware you will be transferring, therefor if that 1st Choice says no, they don’t accept for COLA. Just a theory. If his technical GPA was low, that may be the reason for denial

@britni12 cbrand’s son applied for RTF. The adcoms likely aren’t going to give much weight to his math and science courses as they would for English. If RTF is as selective and competitive as they say they are, then I think this might be a case of them filling up and not having the capacity for new RTF majors. Because they are so full they don’t plan to take in very many next time and are likely just outright rejecting anyone who might have shown plans to transfer in .

It’s a program for undergraduate students that allows business students to receive a bachelor and a masters in accounting faster and cheaper than the traditional route. I actually applied for this program and still waiting for admissions decisions.
