Spring/Fall 2016 Transfer Thread

Is the decision coming out this week?? for real??

@optimist no one knows for sure, just going off of past years.

When UT releases decisions, it is always in the morning (e.g. beginning of business hours) or could the My Status page be updated with results at any time during the day. I’m getting tired of checking My Status 4-5 times throughout the day.

@ReverseCremation 4-5 times…amateur LOL

In all seriousness, I think it’s been kind of random. It’s hard to track since we’re going off when people post which may not be immediately after.

When I was accepted to A&M, it happened in the afternoon. I can’t imagine it being too different from them. It’s hard to believe that they would come first thing in the morning and hit the big, red release button.

From reading previous years threads, people have gotten their decision at all times throughout the day. I saw one person say that his status was updated around 2am. The way he worded it made it seem as if he checked earlier that night and he was still in review. It seems as if the status update may take some to to load after UT enters your decision. I could be totally wrong lol

I once saw that a round of people got their decisions on a Sunday after 8 pm. So yeah, I’m thinking totally random.

@SystemAddict I honestly hope to god that’s the way they do it. The part about big, red button in particular.

I think I check it every thirty minutes now that it’s drawing close. Including when I wake up in the middle of the night, because you know, just in case. Today I was at a stoplight checking it, thinking I could will the decision to fruition by tempting fate, like “oh, it would be quite funny if I died in a car crash only minutes after I got in.” That’s not funny, I know.

Lol! I do the same thing. When I was on my way home from class yesterday, I was at a stoplight and I too checked my status. I thought it would be a movie moment after I just got a 97% on my Math test, and I then got my acceptance right after… cue music and happy movie tears… yeah didn’t happen.

Guys I got accepted into the college of rocket surgery! No I’m only kidding. I just like these forums to see where the decisions are going.

To be honest I’ve been accepted and have decided to attend TAMU, but id like to see if I got into UT. Just to be able to say I got accepted into UTs aerospace engineering program.

I’m hoping everyone starts getting their decisions soon though.

@reconn78 Congrats. When did you get notification from TAMU? What is time difference between the time you received the transfer audit report and the decision of admission? Can you share your credentials of transfer audit report like number of transferable credits and overall gpa?

@cren91 hey we’re in the same boat. I’m applying to COLA with a 3.5 too

@britni12 What major(s) did you apply to? Just wondering, because you seem to know a lot about the application/admission process and you’re the only one that gave me an answer on my chance of getting in. Thanks for that, by that way.

@ReverseCremation You’re welcome haha I applied to natural science for Biology. My husband also applied to Cockrell for Aerospace Engineering. I only “know” so much because I am SOOOO anxious to hear my decision, therefor I’ve done a whole lot of research lol… like hours.

@britni12 Lol, I am right there with you on the research part and have finally drawn a conclusion that there is no definite answer for anything related to UT.

@“Hope N Calories” lol! I’ve concluded that each college will know their decisions at some point, one before the other. Each applicant will find out between the hours of 8am-7am, Sunday-Monday, from March-June :wink:

@mintpopsicles I applied to PR!

HAHA @britni12 I agree with you on that. I feel like Engineering decisions aren’t gonna be out until late May.

@“Hope N Calories” There’s a post that says that Cockrell will begin sending rejection letters on april 16… I hope we don’t get one! :confused:

@jimpgz123 Where did you see that post? I know someone got rejected for M.E on this thread. When I last talked to Engineering Student Services they told that no decisions will be made until they receive transcripts of students lesser than 30 credit hours because they want to give everyone equal chance.
