@jimpgz123 Not yet at least for Chem E
@jimpgz123 nothing for Mechanical Engineering on my end. And so far I haven’t seen anyone get accepted just yet.
I had a dream last night about checking MyStatus and seeing a rejection. I think these will only happen more often for me as we approach May 1…
@Clintonwk i also dreamt last night that i checked mystatus and i got accepted but the language was very vague with no mention of which college i was accepted to. spent the rest of the dream finding out with no answers… needless to say most of us are probably having similar experiences.
@Clintonwk what is May 1st I keep seeing recently?
@Clintonwk this is what another user posted on the last page:
“Yes it is hard to miss, it says CONGRATULATIONS, then instead of your application materials it has a drop down of the stuff you need to do to completely enroll at UT. The part I find funny is the deadline to accept in May 1 which says to me a LOT of decisions are going to be rolled out in the next few days lol.”
maybe that only applies to those accepted within the month of april giving them an adequate time frame to consider their acceptance i doubt they would roll out acceptances to people at the end of april like “SURPRISE NOW YOU ONLY HAVE LESS THAN A WEEK TO DECIDE”
If y’all are saying it’s May 1 to accept a deadline…don’t worry that’s incorrect.

The deadline is rolling depending on your acceptance date for Summer/Fall semesters. So some may have that deadline, but it doesn’t make sense if we have until June 15th to even receive admission offers.
I don’t think everyone will hear back by May 1st. I know the majority of majors are pretty competitive and spots are limited, so if someone denies their offer of acceptance then they can offer the spot to someone else. I think that is the more likely reason as to why they want admitted students to make a quick decision by May 1st.
@EncisoEngineer thats a really good point, I didn’t think of that at all.
Hey guys, Ive been following this thread for a while. I just got accepted into CNS for Biology… I hadnt seen any CNS decisions on this thread yet so just wanted to let you guys know that they are rolling out decisions. Good luck everyone!!
@nyaatx wow, congratulations! Do you mind posting your stats?
Ahhhh!!! I don’t even want to check mystatus LOL
@nyaatx yes, what @Clintonwk said! Lol stats please?? I applied for Biology too! No news for me yet.
Major: Accepted to Biology 1st choice
Biochemistry 2nd choice (both CNS)
GPA: 3.9
3 LOR (2 Biology professors and my supervisor)
Okay extracurriculars
Transferring from ACC (instate)
I have a ton of credits that transferred over (about 80) I thought that would hurt me but I guess I explained my story well enough in the essays.
Good Luck Everyone
@nyaatx What science and math classes do you have done?
@britni12 Calc 1, Bio 1 & 2, Chem 1 & 2 all A currently in Calc 2 and Org Chem 1
This is my first post I’ve ever done on here, and I just wanted to say that I got accepted into CNS for Mathematics! I’m so excited! I can’t wait until August!
Congrats to all who were accepted!
@Edgehead2016 congratulations! Stats?
3.92 GPA
49 credit hours
2 Letters of Recommendation, both from mathematics professors
Good essays
I tutor freelance in mathematics for college and at Marine Corps recruiting stations here in Del Rio and places I was stationed at.
I’m also creating a math help website to help people in math. It’s not done yet, as it is a work in progress.
5 years Marine Corps
As in Cal 1, 2, and 3. I’m taking University Physics right now.
@SystemAddict Hi, I’m the one who posted the may 1st deadline to ACCEPT the offer of admissions. That is what is on my page and I mean… how can I put this delicately. I’m not stupid? I can read? Hehe. Anyways I’m not saying EVERYONE’S will say 5/1/2016 but that’s what mine said. I agree it is because space is limited and they’ll give the spaces that go unused to other students waiting for decisions.
@Edgehead2016 Congrats
!!
