@WannabeBanana who says 2016 is going to be the same as 2015 in regards to certain acceptance rates?
Has anybody heard of any Moody acceptances/denials? First choice journalism, second choice English COLA and I’m so anxious waiting!
Has this happened to anyone?
The green outline on MyStatus made me think I had received an acceptance (grasping at straws here, I know…), but after opening, nothing was different. Still though, it’s weird.

@hookem32 I applied to Moody and have not heard anything yet. If it’s anything like last year, my friend was admitted to Moody on April 22nd which is tomorrow. Fingers crossed we hear something at least by next week!

What I said is not the same thing. It seems like a lot of you guys are suggesting you only have an 8% (like 1 in every 13 ish people) chance of being accepted (someone mentioned before that’s like getting rejected by stanford). Noooo… There’s like a 1 in 4 chance of being accepted.
And re: not being the same this year as last… idk, who’s to say that next year Harvard won’t have a 95% acceptance rate and make headlines across the world? Lol I’m not psychic, I’m reporting exactly what is on the page @UTplsicri linked, it says right there:
“Transfer Admission Rate
Out-of-state applicants: 24%*”
I think it’s highly likely a lot of you will be accepted, considering the amount of rejections that are due to insufficient qualifications & pre reqs. A lot of you are at the top of the applicant pools, imo so that’s a likelood even higher than 1/4

Btw I forgot to tell everyone asking - I have a coworker who was admitted to Computer Science yesterday as an external transfer for Fall 2016.
3.9 GPA, straight A’s in Calc I, II and III, Programming Fundamentals I, II, and III, and Physics I.
What I said about Stanford was a joke… hence the “lol” in that sentence. Like I said before, admissions specifically said they admitted 8% of the out of state transfers… how else can I say it lol
However, admissions tends to say different things every phone call… we need to stop arguing with each other and just make our own guesses from all the info we see.
@prospectivehorn2 Yoo me too. I called admissions and they just told me if I have my 30 hours already I should hear back mid to late May. I told them last year many Moody applicants heard back in June, but she just said it would be May if I have the 30 hrs.
I’m a journalism major and freshman hoping to transfer from UNT to UT as a sophomore.
If we accept, is there any way to take it back?
@justletmeinpls I was told the exact same thing when I called admissions…sadly. Hopefully we won’t have to end up waiting till June like last year. I’m a student at ACC hoping to get into Advertsing at UT!
Has anyone been rejected from their first choice but gotten into their second choice thus far? I’m wondering if there would be any indication of that on Mystatus before you receive a decision. I was excited when my application went into review initially and now I hate seeing that on my page.
