Review*

@jeff787 then your being reviewed.

@utairplane28 congrats dude that’s awesome!

@DaveCloud Thanks!

@utairplane28 congratulations!!!

@utairplane28 Congrats on the acceptance, just one question. Was curious on when you sent in your application???

Rejected from first choice. Accounting, McCombs
Accepted for second choice. Undeclared, COLA

3.71 GPA
2 Essays
2 Letters of rec

Disappointed I didn’t get my first choice but VERY relieved I was finally notified.
Going to UT Dallas instead.
Good luck!

Has anyone heard from the College of Education yet?

@alex1818 congrats on your acceptance to your second choice! May I ask how many credit hours you had?

@compsci123 I sent in my initial application around February 26 and sent in all of the required documents by February 29. So basically one day before the deadline of March 1st.

Glad to know acceptances have been coming out today!

I know applicants with less than 30hrs have to submit a spring transcript, but what if you have over 30 hours? Is it unadvisable to submit spring grades if not required? Im guessing it probably is.

@eternalRobot If you have less than 30 hours, you have to submit your spring grades in order for a decision to be made. If you have over 30 hours AND you get accepted, you STILL have to submit your spring grades before you’re allowed to sign up for orientation. So yes, spring grades do matter. They won’t rescind their admission, unless you just bombed spring grades, but they need them either way.

@eternalRobot Also, if you get accepted into UT and you get B’s in your classes for spring, UT won’t revoke their decision. Unless you get all F’s then UT will revoke their decision. I have less than 30 hours and the wait is killing me.

@utairplane28 Are you in state or out of state? How many credits you have earned? BTW congratulation!!!

thank you @UTplsicri and @utairplane28 , but I think I worded my question poorly. I am still in review for admissions and have more than 30hrs. I wanted to know if by the time my spring semester in school is over and I am still in review for admissions, would sending a new updated transcript to UT be unwise or unnecessary?

@UTplsicri I love your username, haha!

@eternalRobot I just wanted to jump in. I think if you’re accepted, then send your updated transcript. In other words, wait for what they have to say. Sending it without them asking is unnecessary, in my opinion.

@eternalRobot I asked this question of admissions for my son about a month ago (I called them). They said, “Yes, submit the spring grades as soon as you get them.” My son has over 30 hours and is attempting to transfer from his local CA community college. That said, if he gets a “denial notice,” he will not send them but if he is still “in review,” status by the time his sprint grades are posted, he will send his spring grades in to UT. By the end of May, he will have earned 60 hours.

@longhornnation5 I’m still waiting for COE

Nevermind, I second what @momcam said!
