St. Paul's School Concord NH

If you look at the list of accepted people here, I already saw one that said her first choice was a different school. Someone should look at the postings. Maybe you will see some movement off the waiting list. Too early for me to guess.

im fine now… honestly i did want sps. it was like my #1-#2 choice. but now im over it. i personally think i got sme great choices and I wish the best endeavers to anyone who gets the chance to attend SPS

lol… my mom wanted to get a recommendation letter from John Kerry… since he is an alum. my father’s childhood best friend invented a special brand of martial arts called Zen Hapkido. John Kerry’s son takes it, and it was pretty cool. my dads friend got to be the head body gaurd during the 2004 elections. but i realized its not worth it.

John Kerry will be the graduation speaker this year.

oh nice really? do u think i should use my strings to get in or is it pointless?

jyun212 - Your connection is too far removed. It won’t matter. If you knew him personally and he could speak to your character, that would be one thing. But a a friend of your dad’s friend is a bit of a stretch.

ughh ik. i mite as well give up on sps. my cousin is going there next year. kinda weird tho. i was accepted at exeter, andover, choate, and peddie waitlisted there. my cousin was the complete opposite. full ride to sps. however waitlisted where i got accepted. weird huh?

If you were my son and if he played football, I would say go to Exeter. You have some great choices. Congrats on a job well done.

D is w/l toSPS,
accepted at Miss Porters, NMH, L’ville
still waiting onDA and Lommis

Exeter…nothing…need i say anymore—lol

Winterset,

do they waitlist all these ppl just to keep their yield high?

Do they really expect movement?

I guess I am happy for my d’s sake it wasnt an outright rejection, but my take on it is they didn’t want her as much as they wanted someone else.

I haven’t checked into it yet?? Is there FA for kids coming off the waitlist is the family income is under 75K?? If not, no reason to stay on w/l, i cant FP

I will PM you

winterset pm me too

Based on postings, six people have reported they were accepted by SPS, of those two have said they plan to go elsewhere (hmmmm…whatever):
Kentschoolie: Hotchkiss- “It has been my #1 all along.”
sunflowersuzie: “I already know I’m going to PA.”

So that leaves (4): ** KCcansps15, doschicos’ son, JasmineLicie, Comus’ daughter**
Do any of you have a feeling on what you are going to do?

The Waitlist (14): I am leaving off two people who have not mentioned being on the waitlist except in PM’s. If you want to add your names, please do so. Okay? And most of these people have posted that they are in to one or more other schools, so some may drop off the list. So that leaves:
Alexz825Mom, alelu, bamagirl95, BlueRaven1, dadslearning’s son, hijklm, HopefullAtHill, Jen55’s daughter, jyun212, lindha, maggie2, nerdgeekdork, quiltingbee, shelms.

I hope this is helpful to all of you.

I’m going to pull off the SPS waitlist in the next few days. Leave it free for someone else.

Say it ain’t so Raven. You are going to fly off to Groton? Or have you decided? While SPS has no traditional rival, Groton may come close. I know the admissions people never want to lose one to them ;).

{Traditionally we thought we should only compete with the best…so :slight_smile: we just competed with ourselves! Actually no hubris, but the school is divided into three athletic clubs (Delphians, Isthmians, and Old Hundreds) and two boat clubs (Shattucks and Halycons). And we still compete internally and you inherit your club assignments}

:D Thay made me LOL. If I’d been accepted to SPS I’d be seriously considering it versus Groton.

St. Paul’s is seriously in the running, Winterset. St. Mark’s was clearly her first choice until acceptances came in; the SPS acceptance was a bit of a surprise, but M10 is full of surprises all the way around I guess. Been reading the 135 pages you’ve got here as research. My Daisy is eagerly looking forward to revisits.

Hmmm St. Mark’s? … ? well Okay! just kidding. Let me know if I can help out. As you will see this thread overtime has had information, misinformation, disinformation, rumors but also a lot of facts, data, and input by students, parents and applicants. I do not think any faculty or admissions people have graced us yet, but they know we are here.

**I just stumbled across this from the latest issue of the School paper (I wish the printed version was posted instead of the excerpted web edition):
**Voices of St. Paul’s/b
http://spspelican.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/voices-2010-master2.pdf</a>
It is worth looking at.

And in case you never found it, there are numerous FaceBook pages, including:

SPS Admissions even has a Twitter: [St. Paul’s School (spsadmissions) on Twitter](http://twitter.com/spsadmissions)
But I don’t use twitter.

Oh and just 50 more views and we hit an astounding 150,000 views of this thread! Think we should have a birthday party, or start selling advertising.

hey winterset!
I was waitlisted as well …and i will be staying on the list

I was accepted at SPS! It was not my first choice, but I didn’t get in anywhere else so it looks like St. Pauls for me! You seem to be a big supporter of it!
