St. Paul's School Concord NH

since i am perfectly able to do my own laundry, i think I’m going to go for it. when my dad was at sps, there was only a couple of washing machines in the basement of a building that the whole school used if you didnt have the service or whatever. he said it was a pain to carry everything back and forth. thank god that has changed!

mpicz- im taking chem. HOPEFULLY i will understand it!

is there usually a wait when you do your own laundry (due to a lot of people washing at once?) or is it pretty smooth?

MilkandCookies - it really depends on the dorm and what time you choose to do your laundry

I know this is rather off-topic, but what is a typical school day at SPS?

Winterset…for the service i could just do my own and send some stuff? how does that work?

Save Winterset for questions you might ask the Rector imo.:)

What? I am definitely not the Rector (but thank you!). You can ask me anything. But I have learned as much here as I have taught! After starting this thread, I am trying to step back a bit. So thrilled to have the students answering new students Q’s.

Crayolacrayons: What I was saying was that my son uses the basic E&R program, but then does some of his own laundry. I know because we seem to buy detergent at CVS in Concord periodically. I hear the comments about the costs of E&R. It’s true, it is not cheap and they do screw up occasionally. They are big. They are institutional (Also does Andover, Exeter, etc.). The only time I had to call them they were very helpful.

Boarderkid: Have you ever looked at the student surveys here: <a href=“St. Paul's School - Student Review #1”>St. Paul's School - Student Review #1; ? They have responses from different students on dorm life, dining, academics, AND each student gives you their view of their normal daily schedule. But, maybe someone here wants to give you their version. It is different from teen to teen.

My d’s housing assignment is listed on the facebook site.

Okay, we have looked at the St. Paul’s map a hundred times and can not figure out where the dining hall is located. Can someone point me in the right direction or tell me the name of the building?

I’m in house “Drury”? Doesn’t tell you your roomate…but I’m sure I can search around and find someone with the same “VM” number? Not sure what vm means, so I may be wrong.

emdee - are you sure that her housing is there because it’s not supposed to come out until August 1st. The dining hall is labeled as Coit on the map, but everyone calls it the Upper.

mpicz - vm is voicemail number which is the number that people on campus call to reach you, and your roommate will have a number one higher than yours or one under yours

alright thanks

…They wouldn’t put me with a kid who isn’t new right?

Drury is a good dorm. How are you guys seeing the housing assignments?

Positive, it is under the info. in the facebook section. If you look under the housing section, it still says it will be posted August 1st. If you click on your picture you will see your housing assignment and voice mail number.

To returners:
you can see the kids in your dorm if you access the facebook thru the sps website via your parents account. it’s not viewable on the millville facebook

They put up the advisers. I was going to ask if I got a good one until I realized it was my interviewer! :D

Do the advisers change every year?

Question: Summer reading is kinda confusing, can anyone share what exactly they are putting in their essays?
