St. Paul's School Concord NH

I just keep on watching this! I am so hyped up for SPS YEAH!!!

[YouTube - A Look Inside St. Paul’s School: A student’s prospective](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sHqlhLtbLOU)

i feel like that link has been posted 20 times in this thread haha!!

what are considered good girls and boys dorms???

and how does kittridge work? it has multiple parts???

hockeykid I remember one of the teachers told me there was going to be a quad in kehaya becasue we are over so many girls, so she must be one of the girls in the quad.
kitt is one building with 3 dorms all connected with one hallway. there are 2 girls dorms kitt II and kitt III. And one boys dorm kitt I. they are the smallest dorms on campus, and have the least amount of kids in them,

Enya right?

The rooms are all on the perimeter of a square space. The rooms open onto the commonroom, with a small kitchenette, a computer/studyroom and the bathroom. There is a stairway that goes up to Prefect/6th Form rooms. Some rooms face out over ponds. All are on ground level. Pretty centrally located. My son was there 3rd form and then moved next door. The doubles are on the small side.

By any chance are any of the SPS students who post here soccer players…I have a few questions and don’t feel like bothering the coach. PM if you are, thanks.

Milk & Cookies- you said: “ive had an alumni interview and I thought is was much easier. but it depends on the alumni”
You applied again this year to SPS and had an interview with an alumni. Why would you need an interview with an alumni if you live in NH? How were you able to schedule that ? Would you recommend that for others to do? It must have helped.

Milk i think i’m rooming with you! cuz i’m in a quad too!! Kehaya right?

does anyone know anything about the bc? how good do you have to be? If i’ve mostly done gymnastics and some ballet would i be able to make it?

also… how much stuff is everyone bringing the first day? I think i have wayy too much stuff :)

and last question: do all students buy their books from the bookstore? or do they send a list? cuz my parents kinda want to do the whole amazon thing

Crayola: How will your parents know what books to buy before school starts? Are the students required to buy their books at a certain time or can they buy them as soon as they arrive on campus?

I’m bringing bout 8 total pieces of luggage, but that includes my
violin and a laptop.
I’m probly going to check in 4, and hav two other lighter bags
carry-on.
am I bringing too much?-.-
oh, and I’m pretty sure you have to buy your
books t the bookstore.

d2g - that is a ton of luggage, especially of you’re not an international student (don’t know if you are)

I just brought a huge suitcase of clothes, a medium size suitcase with clothes/shoes/necessities, my clarinet, laptop, and I shipped or bought everything else. A lot of kids only bring clothes for the current season and then when they go home for like thanksgiving they’ll bring winter clothes and leave their summer/fall clothes at home.

You don’t have to buy books at the bookstore, they are much cheaper online.
At the school store there are lists of books for different classes posted on the bookshelves next to the books. I usually just buy all my books at the school store (convenient) but a lot of kids copy down the books and order them on amazon and the books get to school in a few days. Most new students and parents go to the school store on move in day and buy books.

d2g- I don’t think that is too much, I mean my van is PACKED when we get to school. Different people bring different amounts of items.

oh, I’m from Texas, not international… I’m trying to reduce the amount of stuff I have to buy there and bring from home during the breaks.
is there going to be a bookshelf or cabinet in the room?

bigblue- I wasnt talking about sps. it was another school I applied to and it was just luck of the draw that I got an alumni interview

oh ok i get it…yeah d2g i was planning to bring a lot of stuff too but i didn’t want to be the only one
is the ballet company hard to get into?

It seems to me that since the company is pretty well-known, it would be somewhat competitive. I want to apply to SPS, but even though I don’t do ballet, I do a different time of dance. Would it be extremely competitive for me, too?

No idea, I dont dance, but if you want to, there are clubs and classes so even if youre the worst dancer ever there will be something you can do there.

The returning student photos on the online facebook have been updated. If you are a new fourth former it is now much easier to see who else is new. (Returning students have the pale background unless they didn’t have a new picture taken.) And no, eye black is not really the latest look for girls at SPS.
